Families. We are so excited for this year to begin. The elementary staff have been working hard to get the school ready to be a Magical place for learning this year. We look forward to a great year with your child as we prepare for greater success at BCES. We hope everyone had a restful summer and enjoyed time for some fun adventures.

We are excited to begin the school year with a new Communication system that the entire district will be using. Berea Independent wanted to make sure that all families were able to receive all information as easily and convenient as possible. This communication piece will launch on the first day of school. We will be sharing information on how to upload the app and use very soon! Families will be able to see all communication from the district, schools, and teachers with one click.

At BCES, one of the systems we use in our school is PBIS. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions of Support. This is an evidence based tiered framework that supports students in academics, behavior, social, emotional, and mental health. PBIS is a school wide system that focuses on establishing positive culture and supports for students to create a safe and effective learning environment for all students.

This year we will be having Club Days twice a month at BCES. Students will have the opportunity to be part of four different clubs throughout the year. If your child did not attend Back to School Night, their homeroom teacher will work with them to learn about the clubs and pick some of their favorite choices the first week of school.
