Bear CREEK PTA
PTA DID THAT!
🐐 Big news, Bear Creek!
Unlike many other AISD campuses, Bear Creek hasn’t had an outdoor space because of the land our school was built on. With help from these goats, that’s about to change! By grazing and clearing brush, they’re preparing the land so our kids can have an additional outdoor learning and exploration zone.
The 100-120 goats will be here for about two weeks.
Fenced in & cared for by professional handlers
Please don’t feed or approach them
Students can view them from a safe distance
This eco-friendly project will give our kids the outdoor space they deserve—and we’re so excited to watch it unfold!
Bear Creek PTA
Congratulations!
PTA President, Chris McGuire, was able to present Malisa O'Connell with the Yeti Cooler. Ms. O'Connell's name was drawn during the PTA General Meeting on Thursday.

CAC DID THAT!
What did CAC do?
In April, the CAC was able to formalize and document the need for Bear Creek to receive new playground mulch. While this was an ongoing maintenance request, the campus was not yet confirmed as having mulch ordered. When the evidence was presented, the agenda items discussed and a letter written to our district - this was the exact process which assisted us with receiving this critical need. Bear Creek was the FIRST CAMPUS to receive mulch this school year! What a wonderful example of how the process works. Anyone is welcome to attend a CAC meeting for awareness.

Required Reporting of 2023 TEA Report Card
Attached to this newsletter you will find a copy of our 2022-23 School Report Card along with some helpful definitions to help make sense of the report.
This report is put together by the Texas Education Agency, and the state requires us to send it to every parent or guardian of a student in a Texas public school. It has a lot of information to help you see how our school is doing.
Inside, you'll find information on:
How our students performed on the STAAR tests
How ready our students are for college, careers, and the military
Details about our student enrollment
Average class sizes
Information on our financial spending
How our school compares to the rest of the district and the state.
Data for different student groups, like race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status
Results from at least the past two years.
The School Report Cards are attached to this email, and can be found online at TEA School Report Card.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about this report card. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
Note from Mrs. Lewis
Families,
You can access TEA reports for current years at this website. I am excited about our progress at Bear Creek. We will continue to focus on growing our Cubs academically.
