Early Release Day Friday, March 13 - Parent-Teacher Conferences
Friday, March 13th is an Early Release Day. Optional Parent-Teacher Conferences are available in the afternoon by appointment. Conferences may be scheduled through the office.
ParentVue and OnLine Registration
Annual Verification for the 2026–27 school year will open on March 16th. At that time, please take a few minutes to complete your student’s online registration for the upcoming school year. This process is necessary for ALL students returning to LHUSD. All registration is completed through ParentVUE. If you already have a ParentVUE account, simply log in and select Annual Verification for Returning Students to review and submit your information. If you do not yet have an account, you will need to create one to complete the registration process.
Please note that updated proof of Arizona residency is required each school year, even if no changes have occurred, as mandated by the state. You may upload your documentation during the online registration process or provide a hard copy to the school office.
If you have any questions or need assistance with ParentVUE or online registration, please contact the office—we are happy to help.
Thank you for completing this process in a timely manner.
AASA State Testing - March 23rd thru April 10th
From March 23rd through April 10th, our students will participate in Arizona State Testing, including scheduled make-up days for any missed assessments.
Throughout the year, students have worked diligently to build their skills and knowledge. This testing window is simply an opportunity for them to demonstrate what they have learned. We are already incredibly proud of their hard work and growth. There will be no additional test preparation, as our goal is for students to feel confident, calm, and ready to do their best without added pressure.
We appreciate your partnership in supporting your child during this time. Encouraging words, a good night’s sleep, and a healthy breakfast each morning can make a meaningful difference in helping them feel prepared and focused.
Attendance during the testing window is very important. Please make every effort to ensure your child arrives to school on time each day. We also kindly request that classroom interruptions be kept to a minimum before 10:00 a.m., so students can fully concentrate on their assessments.
Thank you for your continued support and for working with us to help our students succeed.

Announcements
Identification Required for Student Pick Up
For the safety of all students, identification will be required for student pick-up. Any adult picking up a student must present a valid photo ID and be listed as an approved contact in the student’s records. Please be prepared to show your ID each time you arrive for pick-up, as staff will not release students without proper identification (a picture of your ID on your phone will work). Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and secure school environment.
School Meal Accounts
As a friendly reminder, families are encouraged to check their child's school meal account balance from time to time. If a balance is due, we appreciate your help in keeping accounts current. You may register on LinqConnect.com to see the amount due and make a payment or contact our food service department directly.
Support is available for families who may need it. If you have questions about meal payments or would like information about free or reduced-price meal programs, please contact the school office. We're always happy to help.

Beware of Scorpion Weed
With warmer weather approaching, we will soon be seeing signs of scorpion weed blooming. Please be aware of this plant. It has dark green leaves with a dark purple bloom. The name scorpion weed comes from the small hair-like projections on the stalk. Watch for a local itchy rash similar to poison oak or ivy, usually on hands, legs, and feet. The rash from scorpion weed can last from a few days to over a week, and does not have a specific treatment. Calamine lotion and Benadryl are common to use for this rash. Aloe Vera lotion can lessen the pain and itchiness as well as help the healing process. Isolating the rash and frequently washing hands is a great way to prevent spreading the rash over more parts of the body.
