Cohort Update "Unity" -2022-

Good morning class of 2022,

Welcome to our 2nd full week of virtual learning! I have heard from many of your teachers and they are impressed with what you accomplished last week so let's keep up the momentum as we head into this week.

What does it mean be UNITED or to have UNITY? Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines UNITY as...

1. the quality or state of not being multiple : "ONENESS"

2. a condition of harmony : "ACCORD"

3. the quality or state of being made one : "UNIFICATION"

So, what do these definitions have to do with each of us? Think about all of the things that we have in common, as a class and as a community, vs what divides us. Think about all of the goals that we have as a group and how we can help each other achieve those goals. Think about the best sounding band that you have ever heard or the most successful teams that you have seen compete. What do they have in common? One goal...one vision...and everyone involved taking pride in that mission. Team, we should be working to be just as great as those examples that I just mentioned. Our focus is that of ONENESS in CORE, of the same ACCORD regarding academic excellence, and UNIFICATION of being a WCHS Warrior. I am excited about where we are as a group, but I know we can improve and become even more UNITED in our quest to graduation in 2022. We are here for you so please accept the assistance along this journey towards EXCELLENCE! Have a great week and let me know if there is anything that you need - we have your back.

Good morning to the class of - 2022 -

Ok...so I have to tell you that I had so much fun getting out of the building and visiting several of you at your homes last week. For those of you who don't know, the cohort team is loading up in the bus and making house calls to ensure that each of you are connected and have what you need to be successful for this school year. I'm super ecstatic about visiting more of you this week so get ready for spirit fingers, a big ol' smile and maybe a Moellervation shuffle if it's not too cold outside. Stay the course kids and be sure to know that we are here with you! Stay connected and let's have an awesome week as a WC Family!

As a friendly reminder to those of you who have not had the opportunity to submit your shot records this year. I still need to have your updated immunizations on file as soon as possible. You may email me your records, have your doctor's office send it to me directly via fax (317-532-6259), or have your parent or guardian drop it off at the welcome desk for me. I can't wait to see your faces when we are able to get back in school. I might have to jump in a ZOOM call or two so I can say Hi!

From Ms. Reynolds & Mr. Howe...

The first week of all virtual schooling is behind us and we hope it went well for you. We know this year has been full of twists and turns and changes for all of you and we are almost half way through the school year. As we wrap up this semester, your counselors don't want you to forget that we are on this journey with you. We have set aside certain hours each week to make sure that we stay connected with you and see how each of you are doing. If you have a question, need some help, or just need to talk, you can schedule a time by clicking on the links below. These links are also available on our cohort Canvas page. Ms. Reynolds will available Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am-11:00 am, and Mr. Howe will be available Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00am -11:00 am. If these dates and times just aren't doable for you, send your counselor an email and we will make something work.

Reminder that after school tutoring is available Monday's and Wednesday's in the West (A/J) Café from 2:30pm - 4:30pm. If you simply need a quiet place to study with a snack this it the place for you. Also, there are staff members ready and eager to assist you in most all of your subjects areas so please take advantage of this opportunity while it is still available. We have goals ahead of us, so get ahead of the game and come see us. We can even get you a ride home if you need it!

Good morning to all of our passionate and talented music students! Shhh...don't tell Mr. Shepler, but our cohort team just couldn't hold it a secret any longer. We snuck in and took some pictures and a short video as to what is coming for you very soon. The township and your music department have been working very hard to bring you the best of the best and it is getting close. We look forward to seeing each of you in action and enjoying your beautiful new areas to practice and perform! Seriously, not a one of you can tell Mr. Shepler we were peeking around down there....lol.

Guess who we found being awesome and taking care of business recently? Keep pushing students...you have great things in store for you! Be ready class of 2022 - We might be coming to see you!
