PRINCIPALS MESSAGE PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Community,

We’ve had a joyous week here at school! Check out some of the highlights below:

AP Trip to Madison!

Last week the Adolescent Program went to Madison to learn about how the state government works and to engage in a mock hearing. State Representative Robyn Vining guided the students in the mock hearing, which involved discussing a bill just like the state representatives do when they are at work.

I sat down with Ellie Lakatos to hear more about her experience at the Capitol: “It was really helpful and I didn’t realize how much went into learning about our state, and how much we have benefited as citizens. We were able to sit in rooms where people make decisions about the rules of our lives. It was very informational and we were able to learn from different perspectives and learn about what each part of the government does. It was really fun.”

Recap from Conferences!

Thank you families for dedicating time to foster powerful relationships with your child’s teacher. We appreciate your support always. Thank you for following up at home to support your child’s academic and social emotional development.

Book Fair Recap!

Thank you to the AP students who volunteered to promote or work the book fair as well including Lucas Randall, Smith Wooldridge, Ellie Lakatos, Camryn Mundschau, Edward Berghammer, Reece Knie, Sean Callan, and Ryan Fritch! Thank you to our adult volunteers: Jen Jacobs, Hitomi DuChateau, Pete Lakatos, Jane Bee, Heidi Hemling, Abigail & Garrett Reymann, Bella Feleke, Steve Grisetti, Gloria (Wade’s grandma), and Silvana & Pablo Nakasone for volunteering to work the book fair. The excitement that this event brought out in our students was truly a joy to see.
