Help our school earn a $2,500 grant by becoming a member of the ABC/25 Foundation. Ivy Hill needs just 40 more families to join to meet our goal and receive this grant!

Become a member by October 17th, and your child(ren) will be entered into a drawing to win a ride to school with the Arlington Heights Police Department!

We are so grateful for all of the health forms that have already been submitted—thank you for your support! As a gentle reminder, if your child is a kindergarten student or a new student to Ivy Hill this year, we kindly ask that a completed physical exam be provided at your earliest convenience.

Every day that your child is not in school, is late or is leaving early the office needs to know!! There are three ways to notify us and they are available 24 hours a day!

1. Our GOOGLE FORM - just write in the information - you don't have to talk to anyone!

2. Our ATTENDANCE HOT LINE - Just call 847-398-4275 (the main number) and press 1 - leave us a message.

3. Email office - ihoffice@sd25.org

If you don't call, we are required to call you so PLEASE remember to call your child in absent, late or leaving early!!

We want every student to get home safely and smoothly, and your help makes a big difference! If your child’s usual dismissal plans change—for example, being picked up by someone different, walking home instead of taking the bus, or any other change—in addition to emailing your child's teacher, please email the school office at ihoffice@sd25.org.

Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop! With your support, dismissal can be calm, organized, and as joyful as the start of the day.

From September 15 to October 15, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! This is a time to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. At Ivy Hill Elementary, we honor and celebrate the diversity that makes our school community so special. We invite our students and families to join us in learning and celebrating together!

Mexican Independence Day is celebrated on September 16. It marks the day in 1810 when Mexico began its fight for independence from Spain. This holiday honors the courage and determination of those who worked for freedom. At Ivy Hill Elementary, we celebrate and learn about the rich culture and history of Mexico.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins at sunset on September 22 and ends at nightfall on September 24, 2025. It is a time for reflection, renewal, and wishing for a good year ahead. Families celebrate with special prayers, festive meals, and traditions like eating apples and honey.
