Morning Parking Reminder
We would like to remind families that the parking spaces in the front lot are designated for staff members during the school day. Recently, we have noticed an increase in parents using these spaces during morning drop-off. We have a very limited number of parking spaces available for our teachers and staff, and we need to ensure that those spaces remain available for them as they arrive each morning. Please do not pull into or park in any staff-designated parking spaces during morning drop-off. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration as we work to ensure a smooth and safe arrival process for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Stephen Hill Assembly
Our 8th-grade students recently had the opportunity to hear from speaker Stephen Hill, who shared his personal story and experiences with substance abuse. Through his powerful and candid presentation, Stephen discussed the dangers and consequences of substance use, the importance of making healthy decisions, and the impact that choices can have on individuals, families, and communities. His message encouraged students to think critically about peer pressure, understand the risks associated with substance use, and recognize the importance of making positive choices for their future. We appreciate Stephen taking the time to speak with our students and provide an important opportunity for reflection and learning.

Bicycle Safety
Parent/Guardian,
What has been seeing recently are juveniles riding in packs, swerving in and out of traffic, performing wheelies, riding against traffic, disregarding stop signs and traffic signals, and otherwise disobeying traffic laws. We have also observed behavior that creates dangerous situations for motorists, pedestrians, and the juveniles themselves.
We are asking for everyone’s assistance in making sure parents and guardians are aware of these concerns and are speaking with their children about safe and responsible riding practices.
The Summit Police Department greatly appreciates your assistance and partnership in helping your child/children understand the importance of safety and working together to keep our community and children safe.
Thank you.
