Our 6th grade social studies students are putting the finishing touches on their Life Timelines! Through this project, students are exploring the concept of chronology by identifying and organizing important events from their own lives. This activity connects to the study of history by helping students understand timelines, sequence events, and recognize how past experiences shape the present. It's a great way to build foundational social studies skills while allowing students to share their own unique stories!

AGMS was full of school spirit this week! Students and staff had a great time participating in our themed days, from pajamas and wild outfits to favorite sports teams and plenty of maroon and gold. It was great to see our school community come together, have some fun, and show their AGMS pride!

AGMS VEX IQ Robotics-Now Forming AGMS VEX IQ Robotics-Now Forming

Calling all future engineers, builders, and problem-solvers! Avon Grove Middle School's VEX IQ Robotics program is back for its second season. Last year our teams designed, built, and programmed robots to compete against schools across the region, and one of our teams earned a spot at the Eastern Pennsylvania State Championship in our very first year.

VEX IQ Robotics is open to students in grades 6-8. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Students work in small teams to build robots, tackle this year's game challenge ("Level Up"), and compete in tournaments throughout the season, picking up real skills in engineering, coding, teamwork, and problem-solving along the way. And having a lot of fun doing it.

Meetings: Wednesdays after school (subject to change)
Starting: September 30th
Where: Room 205
Cost: $100

Parents: interested in helping? We're looking for adult mentors to support our teams - no robotics experience needed. Volunteering as a team mentor can waive your student's program fee (district clearances required). If you'd like to support the program as a mentor or sponsor, reach out anytime.

Space is limited, so interested students should contact Coach Andy Meyer at ameyer2@myagsd.net.

AGMS Picture Day is Monday, October 5th! AGMS Picture Day is Monday, October 5th!

Students will have the opportunity to have their school pictures taken during the school day. Picture Day forms were sent home with students this week.

Please visit the AGMS school website for important information regarding ordering, picture packages, and Picture Day details. Orders may be completed online, or payment may be given directly to the photographer on Picture Day.

Please note: AGMS does not collect or process Picture Day payments.

Student Cell Phones Student Cell Phones

Student cell phones should be away in their lockers from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., when students go to their lockers for dismissal, they may check their phones to confirm transportation or make arrangements to stay for after-school activities. Students should then put their phones away for advisory. We thank you for your support!
