Lianny Torres is the Hawthorne Team's September Student of the Month!

The Hawthorne Team staff stated, "Lianny stepped in and picked up papers that fell out of an absent student's folder."

Maryam Hadraoui is the Alcott Team's September Student of the Month!

The Alcott Team staff stated, "Maryam is going above and beyond to make friends and join after school clubs. She is an asset to the Saugus community."

Elijah Secka-Miguel is the Bradstreet Team's September Student of the Month!

The Bradstreet Team staff stated, "Elijah is hard working in class and is very respectful towards others."

Arthur Freitas is the Barton Team's September Student of the Month!

The Barton Team staff stated, "Arthur has stepped up in classes to help his peers. He has, without being asked, helped his classmate by translating directions and explaining what the student needs to do."

Elma Alic is the Kennedy Team's September Student of the Month!

The Kennedy Team staff stated, "Elma is a role model student. She is polite, hardworking and kind. She always stays positive!"

Davi Ferreira is the Adams Team's September Student of the Month!

The Adam's Team staff stated, "Davi stayed in at two lunches voluntarily to get academic help. He also has been a model student with his curiosity and respect for classmates and teachers alike."

The Grade 9 September Student of the Month is Victor Bastista Porto!

Staff member Mrs. Alba said of Victor, "Victor is one of our Student Ambassadors. He is always willing to help, shows up on time, takes the position very seriously, and is very respectful."

Ava's art teacher, Ms. Tyler, said, "she is invested to do well. She is always focused on her work, has a great attitude, and helps out anyone who sits near her."

Biology teacher Mrs. Hashem said of Rose, "Rose is always engaged in class discussions and is enthusiastic about the topic."

SMHS staff member Ms. Castro said, "Gianna works extremely hard, pushes herself, and is a caring individual."

Madison Botta is the September Student-Athlete of the Month for September.

AD Pillsbury noted, Madison is "the junior captain and leading scorer with 12 goals in September, including a three and four goal performance respectively against Winthrop and Malden Catholic."

Tommy DeSimone is the September Student-Athlete of the Month for September.

AD Pillsbury said, Senior Captain Tommy was, "selected as the Boston Herald and Globe Division 5 Player of the Week for both weeks 2 and 3 of the season where he had at least 130 rushing yards and 3 TDs in each game."
