Classroom Happenings
🔬🧪 You're Invited to Our 5th - 8th Grade Science Fair! 🧪🔬
Our students have been hard at work asking questions, conducting experiments, analyzing results, and discovering the wonders of science—and we can't wait to share their projects with you!
Families are invited to visit the Science Fair, located on the stage in the Fr. Ron Rieder Auditorium, during one of the following times on Friday:
🕗 8:45–10:45 AM (following our All-School Mass at SSPP)
🍎 12:30–2:00 PM (following lunch and recess)
🏫 3:00–3:30 PM (once dismissal is complete)
For the safety of our students, please check in at the school office with a valid photo ID before proceeding to the Science Fair. If you plan to visit after school, please wait until dismissal is complete before entering the building. This allows our students to safely walk to their vehicles and our parking lots to clear before welcoming visitors.
We are incredibly proud of the curiosity, creativity, and hard work our students have poured into their projects. We hope you'll stop by to celebrate their efforts and see science in action!
We can't wait to welcome you! 💙🔬✨

Bubbles, Suds & Service! 🚗🫧
A big THANK YOU to our 5th and 6th graders, parent and sibling volunteers, and everyone who supported Saturday’s car wash! Thanks to lots of cars, generous drive-by donations, and many helping hands, the event was a wonderful success—all benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
We are especially proud of our students for putting their faith into action and using their time and energy to serve others. Way to live your YES, Rams! 🖤💛

⭐ Growing Virtue at Home
September's Virtue of the Month: Prudence
This Month's Virtue
Knowing what is good and choosing the right way to achieve it.
Our HCS Theme
Pause. Pray. Choose Wisely.
🏡 This Month's Family Challenge
Practice the "Pause Rule." Before reacting to a disagreement, frustration, or difficult situation, pause for five seconds and ask: "What is the best choice here?"
💬 Family Conversation Starter
Take time later as a family to talk about how that pause changed the outcome.
📸 Ram Family Spotlight - "Show us your virtue in action!"
Send us a photo or short story of your family practicing this month's virtue. Throughout the year we'll feature Ram Families who are living their faith beyond the classroom.
✉️ Read Fr. Tony’s Virtue Message
Want to dig a little deeper? Fr. Tony shares how we can work together as a school, family, and parish community to make this month’s virtue part of our everyday lives. Read Father's message here.
"Everyday Apostles aren't formed in extraordinary moments—
they're formed through ordinary choices made with great love."
Living Mary's Yes
Fiat is a Latin word meaning “Let it be done.” These words reflect Mary’s response to God’s
plan for her life. Her faithful “yes” brought Jesus into the world and changed everything.
Meet Our School Counseling Provider
The Grayson Approach
We are excited to share that Mrs. Marquita Williams will continue serving as our school counselor at Huntington Catholic School! While Mrs. Williams is no longer with Crosswinds, she has launched The Grayson Approach and will continue providing counseling and student support services through a partnership with HCS.
Mrs. Williams offers caring, faith-filled support to help students thrive socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. Services may include:
- Behavior management support
- Emotional regulation skill building
- Mentoring
- Social-emotional learning support
- Assistance with developing and maintaining healthy relationships
If you would like your child to have the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Williams during the school year, a new Parent Consent Form and Family Survey must be completed, even if your child received services in previous years through Crosswinds. These forms are required because services are now being provided through The Grayson Approach.
The completed forms help us ensure that students receive the support they need while allowing Mrs. Williams to better understand each child's unique strengths and needs.
If you have any questions about counseling services or would like additional information, please contact the school office. We are grateful to continue partnering with Mrs. Williams as she supports the well-being and success of our students.
