Graduation 2026
May 15, 2026
Dear Parents of R. B. Stall Seniors,
As graduation approaches, I would like to celebrate you and your senior for reaching this milestone. We are certain that this will be a wonderful and memorable experience for all involved. There will be two mandatory graduation practices to prepare for our ceremony:
- May 26th, 2026, at Stall High School at 10:00 a.m after Senior Awards.
- May 27st, 2026 at the North Charleston Coliseum at 11:00 a.m. Must arrive by 10:30 a.m.
Failure to attend these two mandatory practices will result in your student not being able to walk in the ceremony. There are a lot of moving parts to a graduation ceremony, and they need to know what is expected of them.
Please be aware that all school debts must be cleared before that time. Failure to complete graduation requirements will disallow participation in commencement exercises. After school counselors receive final grades, they will complete a senior credit check and determine which seniors are eligible to participate in our graduation ceremony.
The actual graduation ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the North Charleston Coliseum at 5001 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston, SC 29418. Students must arrive at the Coliseum no later than 8:30 a.m. There are no tickets required for guests, and there are no limits on the number of guests, but please limit cars to seven per graduate.
Seniors participating in the graduation ceremony are required to follow the clothing expectations set per the CCSD Graduation Dress Code. All appropriate dress and shoe attire have been shared. All students were briefed on the dress code at every Senior Meeting, in the weekly Stall Senior Newsletter, is located at the bottom of this email, and will be reviewed at Mandatory Senior Check Out on Monday. If there are any questions, please contact Ms. Whitney. Items that are deemed inappropriate will need to be removed before starting the ceremony. Students are not allowed to alter or decorate their caps or their robes in any way, or wear additional regalia (cords/stoles/medals) not provided by the school or approved by the district. Students are not permitted to bring purses or personal items (picture frames, sunglasses, AirPods, etc) in with them. They are not allowed to carry any items, including a cell phone in their hands onto the Coliseum floor.
Every graduate’s family and friends deserve the opportunity to see and hear their student receive his or her diploma and to enjoy the entire program without distraction. You are requested to refrain from loud expressions for individual graduates. Such expressions frequently and unfairly detract from the recognition due to the next graduate in line. Please review the following guidelines and share them with your guests.
Walking around during the ceremony should be limited to emergencies. Please do not plan to leave until all graduates have received diplomas and have marched out.
A professional photographer will be present and will take a picture of each student receiving his/her diploma. No other picture-taking will be permitted near the stage or on the floor of the coliseum where the graduates are seated.
Special handicapped seating is available. An usher will direct disabled guests to that area.
The last segment of the ceremony is the recessional of the graduates. The graduates will move to a designated area in order to receive their actual diplomas, certificates, and other special recognition. This allows graduates to receive diplomas quickly and without error.
Please arrange a place to meet your graduate after the ceremony. A location outside the building would be appropriate.
Please arrive early to permit adequate time for parking and walking to the North Charleston Coliseum.
I deeply appreciate your support as we seek to make this a beautiful ceremony of commencement. The faculty and staff of R. B. Stall High School shares the joy and excitement of each graduate’s accomplishments. We look forward to seeing you on May 28, 2026 at 10AM.
Sincerely,
Stephen Larson
Executive Principal
