HCS Offers Students Free Breakfast & Lunch in 2025-26

All students in Horry County Schools will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2025-2026 school year as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.

Students will still have the option to purchase additional meals, food & snack items, and beverages at à la carte prices. À la carte items can be paid for in cash or by prepayment on the student’s cafeteria account.

Superintendent Jones would like to continue his community engagement events across our school district for the 2025-2026 school year. These events will cover all nine attendance areas and include morning sessions and evening sessions.

Student and families: Counselors are beginning to schedule IGP meetings with Seniors! This is a great opportunity to meet with the school counselor to discuss options after high school and review graduation requirements. Please be on the lookout for an email from your student's school counselor regarding scheduling your meeting!

The ASVAB will be offered at CFHS on 3/19/26 at CFHS. Registration is open to 11th and 12th grade students only. Due to limitations, we can only take the first 100 students registered. A waitlist will be maintained after the first 100 students have signed up. The form will close on 03/13/26 at 3pm. Students that registered and have a seat to test will be notified via email. The CFHS Counseling Department has been working on some new resources for students and parents. We WILL NOT interrupt instructional time for students to leave class to retrieve items from a family member. We will not allow items to be left in the front office. Last weekend, our first-year agriculture students had the chance to go to Green Hand Camp! They got to hang out with other Green Hand students from all over the state, join leadership workshops, enjoy mini career development events, and even lend a hand in planning a banquet.

THE ONLY THING YOU NEED TO PURCHASE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CF GRADUATION CEREMONY IS THE “CAP-GOWN-TASSEL UNIT”. This will get you your cap, gown, custom CF stole, tassel, and diploma cover.
