Dear Parents,

We are so excited that you have chosen ASU Prep South for your children. We want you to know that learning is taking place every day. It is very important to get your children to campus on time so they can start learning with their class when the bell rings.

We also will be practicing our safety drills next week. WE have completed a fire drill and will be having a lock down/lock in drill sometime in the next two weeks. Please speak to your children about the importance of this as it seems to be more important than ever for our children. In a drill, we teach students to stay quiet and listen to instructions to stay safe. They are not to be on their phones so we can keep them paying attention to the adults in the building.

I know you will want to know they are safe, but please respect our procedures so we can keep all students safe without panic. WE know that younger students may cry or feel threatened by a drill so please let your teacher know if we need to follow up with any students with regards to how we will run the drill and I would be happy to do that. I cannot give you more information about how we run the drill as then that compromises the integrity of it.

As you know, we are trying to get a bus for our school. We have run into a bus driver shortage. The company that provides busses to our other schools does not have enough drivers to allow us to have a bus. We are looking into another company to see if we can get the bus going. Thank you for your patience and we know it is a bit inconvenient for you. WE appreciate you sending your children to ASU Prep

We love celebrations and we love celebrating our students! We ask that you give your child's homeroom teacher 24-hour notice before sending any treats or celebratory items. You may contact homeroom teachers via email or ClassDojo. If you are sending treats with your child, they will be held at the office unless prior arrangements with the homeroom teacher have been made. In order to limit interruption of academic instruction, treats will be handed out 30 minutes prior to dismissal, unless arrangements with the homeroom teacher have been made. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your cooperation!

If you are dropping off your student after 8:00 AM you must drop them off at the front office. Please walk your child to the front office and sign them in. DO NOT let your child sign in by themselves. EVERY student that is tardy needs a parent signature.

After 8:15 students are considered absent.

Phone calls home will be begin at 9:30am

It has been brought to admin's attention that children are leaving 15 minutes before dismissal. We ask that children are NOT to be checked out 30 minutes before dismissal.

During dismissal the front office will be closed from 2:30pm to 2:45pm.

Please pick up your children in one of two designated pick up point.

1.) North entrance at Cafeteria door

2.) Drive Up Pick-Up, enter through Sunland Ave.
