Redesign Rollout: Three Phases to Transform Your Teaching
Phase 1: New Look (Completed January 2025)
A sleek design with faster functionality, intuitive navigation, and improved search features for easier access to resources aligned with specific content standards.
Phase 2: Enhanced Resource Builder & Collaboration Tools (Summer 2025)
New tools will help teachers create, organize, and share lessons. Artificial intelligence and “remix” features will allow customization based on teaching styles and students’ needs, while a commenting tool encourages collaboration feedback within learning communities.
Phase 3: Interoperability (Fall 2025)
ALEX will integrate with ALSDE tools, enabling easy sharing of instructional resources and student activities in Learning Management Systems (LMS), enhancing the learning experience
Empowering Alabama Educators
Through this redesign, ALEX aims to build a thriving educational ecosystem by empowering educators to:
- Create: Standards-based open educational resources, mini-lessons, and lesson plans.
- Collaborate: Professional learning opportunities to share effective, evidence-based strategies
- Cultivate: Alternative approaches to engage students in real-world learning experiences.
