Garfield Elementary Chosen for Safran Cabin's 2025 Give and Grow Project!
We are thrilled to announce that Garfield Elementary has been chosen by Safran Cabin, the parent company of Greenpoint Technologies, for their 2025 Give & Grow CREATE Project!
Safran Cabin is a global aviation company with local sites in Marysville, Everett, and Bothell, and we are honored to be the school selected for this year’s project.
Project Day: Friday, September 12
On this exciting day, Safran employees will be on-site to lead a complete transformation of our school campus. This includes:
- Murals that celebrate creativity, diversity, and inclusion
- Student-centered spaces designed for joyful learning and play
- Lasting improvements that will benefit our students for years to come
This is a powerful gift to our school and community, and we are so grateful for Safran’s generosity and vision. We can’t wait to share the results with you and celebrate this milestone together!

Important Reminder: After-School Transportation Changes
For the safety and well-being of all students, it is essential that any changes to your child’s after-school transportation are communicated to the office no later than 2:30 PM Monday–Thursday and 1:30 PM on Fridays.
We understand that emergencies can arise. However, as a general rule, if we do not receive notification by the times listed above, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the change. In such cases, your child will follow their regular dismissal plan (e.g., riding the bus).
Please help us ensure every child gets home safely by calling the office at 425-385-4700 with any transportation updates. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
First Bell is at 9:10 am, School starts at 9:15 am
Please arrive 9:00 - 9:10 am at the front entrance if walking or getting a ride. Bus riders will be greeted at the bus entrance on Pine Street and brought to their lines. There is no supervision before 9:00 am so there are no students allowed on campus until 9:00 am. Teachers arrive to bring students to classrooms at 9:10 am so that learning begins at 9:15 am in our classrooms.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
To ensure safety and efficiency during drop-off and pick-up, please follow these guidelines:
- Drop-Off: Stay in your vehicle. Have your child exit on the curbside (passenger side/right side) for safety.
- Pick-Up: Stay in your vehicle. Once you reach the pick-up zone, we will call your child to your car. They will enter on the curbside for safety.
If you need to get out of your car, please park in a designated parking area. Parking is available in the school parking lot or along adjacent streets (including 23rd adjacent to the school parking lot). Do not park in the carline including along the fence on 23rd or in the bus zone on Pine Street. All other areas are open for street parking.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our traffic flow smooth!
Attendance Procedures
We look forward to seeing your child at school every day. Regular school attendance is important, and we will work with you to ensure your child is present to benefit from an excellent education. If your child is absent, please email our attendance email address, gaeattendance@everettsd.org.
If email is not possible, please call 425-385-4705 to report the absence. Please make sure there is an email or a written note within 30 days after your student returns to school.
