MRI Family & Community Update

Dear Caregivers,

We hope this message finds you well. We have had an amazing start to the 2025-2026 school year!

On Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22 we will have practice drills throughout the day. While we hope to never have to enact a code, it is important for the safety of the students and staff that these be practiced.

You will find a description of all the drills being conducted in this message. We ask that you please talk to your students about the practice and the upcoming drills.

Please help us make pick-up smooth and safe for everyone!

• Want to help make parent pick-up smooth? Consider having your student ride the bus home.

• If you're picking up and it's a change - please contact the office with bus changes by NOON.

• If you're picking up daily and do not have a parent pick-up number, please request a form from the office and you will be given a pick-up number. THIS IS FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE EVERDAY PICK UP.

• Please do not begin lining up until 3 pm. Please do not come and sit in our parking lot early - for AM drop-off or PM pick-up. This is a safety concern for our staff and students.

• Upon entering the back parking lot, vehicles will proceed around to the loading area. (marked by a star on map above).

• If the back parking lot is full, cars will be directed to line up at the middle school.

• As cars exit the parking lot, cars from the middle school will be told to advance to the MRI back parking lot.

• Families will remain in their cars.

• A staff member will be looking for the parent pick up number assigned to student.

• Once our road to the back parking lot is filled, you will be directed to loop around at the middle school. Staff members will let cars advance as openings occur.

• Staff members are REQUIRED to check IDs EVERYDAY.

All students need a completed online emergency card every year. Thanks to everyone who has already submitted one! If you haven't filled one out for your child(ren), do it today!

The first class in each grade level to have 100% will earn a popcorn party!

If your child misses school, please send a note within 48 hours so it can be coded correctly!

Signing in:

Bring your child to the office door and scan the QR code.

Signing out:

Scan the QR code & have your ID in hand. We will confirm parent names on student emergency information before calling them to the office to leave. Thank you for helping us keep your child safe.
