Welcome Back, Panther Families!

Our teachers, administrators, and staff are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our scholars! We have spent the entire summer preparing for an incredible school year and cannot wait to welcome students back to Potomac High School.

This year, we will continue to embrace our Panther motto: Pursue. Persist. Prevail. These values will guide us as we work together to ensure every student experiences success both academically and personally. We are also committed to strengthening communication with our parents and guardians so that we can build meaningful partnerships and maintain open lines of communication throughout the year.

ParentVUE Reminder

Parents and guardians, please be sure to download the new ParentVUE app if you have not already done so. This platform is where you will complete your Back-to-School Packet, which is an essential first step for the school year. Download the new ParentVUE app

Keeping your contact information current is extremely important, especially for student safety and emergency communication. ParentVUE also provides convenient access to your child's:

• Class schedule
• Attendance information
• Grades and academic progress

You will also use ParentVUE to access your student's schedule for Back-to-School Night, which will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:45 p.m.

Important First Week Reminders

As we prepare for a successful start to the year, please review the following expectations:

1. Student Drop-Off Procedures
   Please drop students off in the designated student drop-off/parking lot located next to the marquee. As you approach the marquee, turn left into the student lot. Student drop-offs are not permitted at the front of the school before 7:45 a.m.

2. School Hours For Students
   7:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m.

3. Arrive On Time
   We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing the importance of punctuality. To ensure students have enough time to enter the building and make it to class on time, please plan for them to arrive by 7:15 a.m.

4. Early Dismissal
   Early dismissals conclude each day at 1:45 p.m.

5. Food Deliveries
   Food deliveries from commercial services such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and similar vendors are not permitted.

6. Electronic Device Expectations
   Our electronic device policy is in effect beginning on the first day of school. Students should keep all personal electronic devices, including cell phones and headphones, off and away throughout the school day. Devices should not be visible. Devices that are visible or in use may be confiscated in accordance with school expectations.
