We are Two Buildings, One School!
What’s happening in STEM?
Third graders harvested potatoes and recorded data from tater racing. Fourth and Fifth graders took the Rory Cooper challenge to invent an assistive spoon prototype for people with disabilities, then tested and improved it. Invention Convention is coming soon in November! Kindergarteners are building models like wrecking balls and tiny towns to learn about pushes and pulls. Coding our new Root robots is exciting!
Gold Coins = Book Vending Machine Visits
Students exhibiting our PBIS Pillars - Kind, Safe, Respectfuly, Responsible, and students won Summer Reading Raffle prizes got special gold coins for our Book Vending Machine.
Girls on the Run
The Girls on the Run club practiced “stick with it” strategies while completing a hard task with a teammate. The girls had to walk about 30ft with a balloon tucked between their shoulders without it falling. If it fell, they used their strategies and restarted!
PowerSchool
As you know, we have shifted our student information forms online to PowerSchool. These forms are more than paperwork. They contain important information about your child and your family's wishes, including whether you give permission for your child's image to appear in photographs, videos, newsletters, and other school communications. Completing the forms helps us protect student privacy, keep information accurate, and honor the choices you make for your child. If you haven't already, please log in to PowerSchool, review your child's information and annual notifications, and complete all outstanding forms. If accessing through your mobile device, please enter the following district code GKMP. Below are two images of what to expect and we have attached a letter for your reference.
