November is a wonderful time to reflect on all we have to be thankful for, and I am especially grateful for our Parkway community. Your support, encouragement, and partnership help make MPES a special place for our Bulldogs to learn and grow.

Student Holidays – November 2nd & 3rd

Students will be off November 2nd & 3rd while Magnolia ISD staff participate in professional development, collaborate with curriculum specialists and their teams, and hold parent conferences. If you would like to schedule a conference, please contact your child’s teacher.

SMART Tag Parent App

Beginning Wednesday, November 4, parents can start tracking their child’s bus routes in real time using the SMART Tag Parent App. The app allows you to see when and where your student boards or exits the bus. The current MyStop App will remain active through December during the transition.

Key Details:

Primary Parent Setup First: The primary parent (listed first in the Parent Portal or student's account) must set up their app account before giving access to another parent/guardian.
Daily SMART Tag Requirement: Please ensure your student carries their SMART Tag every day. Replacement tags cost $3 and can be purchased via MySchoolBucks.
Support: For questions or assistance, email smarttaghelpGROUP@magnoliaisd.org. Phone support during route times is limited due to staff availability.

Being at school every day makes a difference! Each day our Bulldogs are here, they have the opportunity to learn, grow, build relationships, and be part of their classroom community. We appreciate our families helping us build strong attendance habits by making school attendance a priority.

Parents, you are an important part of helping us reach our attendance goals! Unless your child is sick or there is another important reason for them to miss school, please help us make sure they are at school, on time, and ready to learn every day. If your student does miss school, please send a note when they return.

🎉 Today was our 1st Surprise Attendance Day! All students at school joined in a campus-wide Bingo game, and Ms. Sims’s 4th Grade class won a popsicle party! Encourage your child to be at school every day—you never know when our next Surprise Attendance Day will be!

Happy November! This month we are focusing on Gratitude for our SEL lessons. The month of November our campus giving tree will go up and be open for families to sponsor gifts needed for some of our MPES families for the holiday season. If you are interested in sponsoring a gift or a few stop by the front office beginning November 11th. All gifts will be due back December 4th.
