Welcome Back, Ranger Families!

Over the last few weeks, we have enjoyed seeing familiar faces and welcoming new Rangers to our school. This year promises to be a great one, and we are excited for all the learning and growth coming our way.

This year, we are implementing Capturing Kids Hearts across the district. We anticipate this program having a positive impact on students and staff as we work to build meaningful relationships to support learning. If you have not had the opportunity to talk with your child's teacher, please feel free to reach out and schedule a call. The partnership between teachers and parents is critical to the success of each student.

As always, please continue to encourage your students to engage positively in learning every day and to interact with others appropriately. Thank you for your continued support of Timber Ridge ES.

In partnership,

Stephani Grisham

Timber Ridge ES Principal

Awesome Prekindergarten

We are seeing students learning new routines and procedures. We have been doing great with learning new skills like scissors, glue and play dough. We will continue to work on writing our name for the month of September.

Excellent ECSE Program

The ECSE 3 yr. old class continues to practice routines, procedures, and transitions. We have also been discovering new activities and toys, and learning about the concepts of taking turns and sharing. These littles are already cheering their peers on in class. In mid-September we will begin our Unit on Balls. This unit helps students develop their skills in literacy, math, and the arts, and explores some social studies and science concepts as they investigate the features and nature of balls.

Spectacular Second Grade

So far, we have worked diligently to build relationships with our students and enjoy our time together. We are glad to hear all the good things they are sharing with us. On top of this, students are really excited about Science and all the hands-on activities, please keep in mind those Lab Safety contracts that were signed to keep everyone safe. Thank you!

Super Skills Classrooms

We are jumping into the new year with learning our classroom procedures, our classmates and teacher. The Skills Unit teachers are excited about this year. Our social skills will focus on our feelings this month. This will help students identify how they are feeling and the appropriate action to take.

Amazing PE

Coach Craig is our newest team member. He is doing a wonderful job of establishing relationships by engaging in meaningful discussions and participating in our activities with students.

Texas State Law mandates that all students must wear athletic shoes to P.E. class in order to participate. The P.E. instructors will ultimately determine the final decision on the safety of your child’s footwear. These decisions will be based on the safety of the footwear regarding the days class activity. Dress shoes, flip-flops, heeled shoes, crocs, slides and shoes without rubber soles are unacceptable. Girls wearing dresses or skirts will be required to wear shorts underneath.

Our students are physically active and engaged in learning about health and physical activity. During the week of 2-6 September our students will be participating in parachute games and activities.

Timber Ridge ES is committed to frequent two-way communication with families about their child's learning. We value and appreciate your partnership as we collaborate to ensure growth and learning for each student. If you have a concern, we ask that you allow us the opportunity to investigate and respond. If the concern is about a classroom situation, we ask that you first attempt to resolve the concern with your child's teacher. If you still have a concern after speaking with your child's teacher, please feel free to reach out to an administrator and we will be glad to assist you.
