Message from Resource Center South
Dear Resource Center Parents, Partners, and Staff,
Fall is officially here, and we are so excited about the wonderful season ahead! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the start of our after-school programming such an incredible success.
Our students and families have enjoyed art, music, podcasting and videography, cheer and tumbling, soccer, Folklórico, ESL, Adult Literacy, Spanish classes, and so much more! Your enthusiasm, participation, and continued support have brought so much energy and joy to the Resource Center.
A special thank-you goes to the Dallas ISD Early Learning Department for hosting such a wonderful reading and academic session. It was a fun, engaging, and informative experience for our parents, and we truly appreciate your partnership!
We are looking forward to continuing this amazing momentum because October is filled with even more exciting programs, services, and activities!
Working parents, we haven’t forgotten about you! Be on the lookout for the launch of our new Wednesday evening curbside grocery pickup service. More information is coming soon!

🌟 Partner Highlight: Children’s Health 🌟
This month, we are proud to recognize Children’s Health, one of the Dallas ISD Resource Centers’ very first community partners!
Children’s Health has partnered with us since our inaugural grand-opening event in January 2024. From the very beginning, their team has remained committed to connecting our families with valuable resources, trusted guidance, and compassionate support.
Meet Ms. Silvia Gallegos, Our Children’s Health Outreach Representative!
Ms. Silvia visits the Resource Center every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to provide application assistance for CHIP, SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and other essential services. She also connects families with programs and support related to diabetes, sickle cell disease, asthma, and more. Ms. Silvia’s warm and welcoming spirit makes her a wonderful resource for our families!
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Silvia and the entire Children’s Health team for their continued dedication to the children and families we serve. Your partnership makes a meaningful difference in our community!
Families, stop by the Resource Center on Wednesdays between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to meet Ms. Silvia and learn more about the resources available to you. We look forward to seeing you!
