Academy Avenue Elementary School

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

Happy New Year and welcome to 2025. With winter break and the holidays behind us, January is typically the month we begin the shift from launching the school year to reaching new heights. Things are really moving fast, so please make a New Year's resolution to read the sunday newsletter each and every week to stay informed and involved.

• The Winter Clubs are back at Academy with several of them starting this week; please click here to see the different offerings and online gForm to sign up. Checks can be made payable to Academy Avenue School.
• ACCESS testing for our English Language Learners will be starting this week!
• Also speaking of languages, did you know, there are ESL Classes for Adults available? Click here to learn more.
• Did you know that there is a Parent Educational Night event on Tuesday, January 7 with Hope Floats? Please click here for more information!
• The Mitten Tree will be wrapping up at the end of the week, so please send in any donations you can to help those in need! The temperature is dropping as winter rolls on!

Let's kick off the new school year on the right foot! It's a new year and we need our entire community connected to take our school to new heights! Teamwork makes the dream work!

Mr. Higgins

• As report cards will be published soon, please pay special attention to the number of absences your child has. It's that time of year where days missed can really add up. As always, please remember to call the hotline any time your child is going to be out.
