Urgent Reminder: Do Not Use Southminster Parking Lot
Dear Dryden Families,
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful PTA for continuing the beloved Birthday Book tradition each month at Dryden! Through this special event, students celebrating birthdays are recognized with the gift of a book to add to their home libraries. Our students are given a wide variety of engaging, high-quality fiction and informational texts to choose from, making the experience both exciting and meaningful. We are so grateful to our PTA for this thoughtful way of celebrating our students while also promoting a love of reading and literacy.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the PTA for organizing this week’s 5th Grade Basketball Shoot Out, which took place on Thursday and Friday. A special thank you goes to Mr. Gries and Miss Spenser, as well as the many parent volunteers, for helping make this event such a success. Congratulations to our 5th graders, who together made an impressive 1,018 baskets, surpassing their goal! Families generously sponsored students in this fun and energetic event, and the proceeds will go toward the purchase of the Class of 2026’s traditional legacy gift to Dryden. Our 5th grade students will soon be voting to determine which legacy gift they would like to leave for future Dryden students to enjoy.
Be sure to check out the photos below from both the Birthday Book event and the 5th Grade Basketball Shoot Out. We love capturing these special moments!
Warmly,
Jessica Martinsen
Happy Birthday, Happy Reading!
