M100 Showcase - This Wednesday

Coming up this Wednesday, we will be walking all band students to Tiger Field to watch the Marching 100! They will performing this year's marching show, and this will give our students the opportunity to observe the high performance level of the Belton HS Band. This also gives them a glimpse into what it's like to become a part of the M100, a goal we have for all Belton MS Band students.

On Wednesday, there will be an announcement for students to report to the Cafeteria at 9:30am, which is during 2nd period. We will then walk over to the stadium as a large group, and observe proper concert etiquette as we watch them perform. Parent chaperones and directors will be placed around our group of students to monitor student behavior. Students will miss the 2nd half of their 2nd period class and all of 3rd period, but are still responsible for any missed work. After the showcase, we will walk back to BMS in time for A Lunch for 6th graders, and 4th period for 7th & 8th graders.

SnapRaise Fundraiser

Click here to sign up for our new fundraiser SnapRaise. You are now able to register and pre-load 20+ email addresses to ask for donations for your student. Make sure your emails do not include other students, fake emails, etc., and are only legitimate potential donors. You can also add phone numbers for text messages, and no contact information will be sold or shared outside of the fundraiser. You can read the previous details we sent out about this fundraiser here.

Donations will help students attend Typhoon Texas Waterpark at the end of this school year as a way to celebrate a successful year in Band. We also use these funds to reward individual student achievements with medals, ribbons, and plaques. Donations to our fundraiser are vital to our success.

Click here to watch the video that explains how to get set up and create your student's fundraiser page to start collecting donations. The system will send out the emails and start accepting donations as we go live on Wednesday, September 13 until Wednesday, October 11. You can also share out your student's page yourself through texts, emails, and social media.

Email Mr. Pulley if you have any questions. Thank you for supporting our fundraiser, and here are some suggestions of who you can ask to donate:

  • Grandmas & Grandpas
  • Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins
  • Adult Siblings and other family members
  • Local Businesses that you know, including family doctor, dentist, orthodontist, etc.

Practice the Staff Chant

We first learned the Staff Chant, which is shown by clicking here, plus the students can practice it at home by clicking here. These files are also found in the RM Theory folder in Schoology. This program teaches our students to be musically literate and not just "button pushers". It is a critical component to their music education, and we ask for your support of this important part of their Band instruction.
