Principal Update

Trask families,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We are nearing the end!

  • THIS IS IT!!! EOGs begin on FRIDAY! Parents/guardians, there are NO STUDENT checkouts until the last child finishes their test. This can last till 2:00 in the afternoon. Bears, be sure you get a great night's sleep and fill your belly with a delicious breakfast! YOU GOT THIS! Our 6th and 8th grade students will take their Reading test, and our 7th grade students will take their math on Friday!
  • As a reminder, our students are eligible to retest this school year, and remediation will occur directly after we receive the assessment results. Even if you do not wish for your child to retest, they will be placed in a remediation group for three hours over three days if they do not pass. Those eligible to retest will receive a letter and a Google form. Please be sure to fill it out as soon as possible if you are interested!
  • Our Orchestra concert is on Tuesday, 5/20, at 6:30 in the evening here at Trask! It is always amazing to hear how far our bears have come in a year.
  • Yearbooks will be given out to those who preordered on Tuesday during homeroom. Students will then have the opportunity to purchase a yearbook on Wednesday during lunch and recess. The price is $30. On Thursday, we have our signing day, which includes a delicious treat from our PTA for EVERY BEAR! Even if you do not purchase a yearbook, students are encouraged to bring their own autograph book, a unworn T-shirt, or disposable cameras to document the fun!
  • As a reminder, all laptops will remain at Trask for the remainder of this school year, starting Monday, 5/19.
  • Remember to check your bedrooms, backpacks, and houses for library books! Mrs. Rappold will be sending notices out this week to remind those who have books that need to be returned.

Have a great week, and again, BEST OF LUCK on your test!

Your principal,

Mrs. Kim Clark
