Piney Point of View: Marching Toward Spring

Welcome to March—officially the longest month of the year! We’ve made it, Grizzlies, and we’re on a fast downhill slide toward Spring Break. This stretch of the year is always full, but also full of opportunity. Once we return, we’ll jump right into the heart of testing season, so now is a great time to pause, take care of yourself, stay healthy, and enjoy the fresh start of Q4.

March also means we are just a few short weeks away from G3 – our Grizzlies Great Day of Giving! This is one of our favorite Piney Grove traditions, where every grade level participates in meaningful, hands-on service projects that directly support our community. To make these projects a success, we need your help. Over the next couple of weeks, please consider sending in donations for your student’s grade-level project. Every item has value, just like every child and every member of our school family, and together we can create an incredible impact.

And finally, a HUGE congratulations to our FBLA, DECA, Robotics, HOSA, and Science Olympiad teams for their amazing representation at their state and region competitions this past week. We are so proud of our students and their hard work, and grateful for the dedicated staff who support and prepare them throughout the year.

With #pineypride,

Lori

G3 Dues will increase March 9

G3 is our annual day of service where every student makes a difference:

  • 8th graders serve off campus at community sites
  • 7th graders mentor at local elementary schools
  • 6th graders lead team-building and service projects at The Grove

If you have not yet paid your G3 dues, please do so as soon as possible. This allows us to order student t‑shirts and plan for lunch for our special day. For details, donation lists, payment fees & volunteer sign up, click HERE.

iReady Screening March 18 & 19

Students will complete their third and final i‑Ready screening in March.

  • ELA Screening: March 18

  • Math Screening: March 19

These i‑Ready results will be one of the criteria used when determining course recommendations for the 2026–2027 school year.

Please ensure your child brings earbuds to school on both days to support them during the assessment.
