Activities Banquet on December 7th

After careful consideration of all teams and coaches, the Fall Activities Banquet will be MOVED to December 7, at 6:00pm. The SRC Booster club will provide a sandwich meal and the four fall teams will present.

We understand changing the banquet this late can be an inconvenience to some, but we truly appreciate the communities flexibility and support as we navigate this new banquet style. We want all athletes and coaches to be done with the season, postseason awards to be out, and every fall sport to be together.

We thank you for your continued support and hope to see you at the fall seasonal banquet.

Thank you!

✨Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)✨

Congratulations goes to our own Becky Schueth who has been named a State Finalist for this award!

This is the highest honors bestowed by the United States government specifically for K-12 science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teaching. Awards are given to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers who have both deep content knowledge of the subjects they teach and the ability to motivate and enable students to be successful in those areas.

Mrs. Schueth is currently teaching high school mathematics here at SRC. This is her 11th year at S-RC and I teach Geometry, Technical Math, College Algebra, PreCalculus and Calculus. Becky has 20 years of experience in teaching and she began her career at Columbus High School. Mrs. Schueth Bachelor’s (2005) and Master’s (2009) degrees are from Wayne State College. She enjoys sharing her excitement for math with her students each day!

When you see her, please make sure you congratulate her on this incredible achievement! We are all proud and rooting for you!

    Message from Mr. Tejkl

    Live your life...

    Good morning!

I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for Winter! It seems to be creeping in as the snow has began to fall in other parts of our county! It is also a time to reflect on what we are thankful for and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I want to say thank you to everyone for their support of our students, staff, and district with the donation of food, giving to the giving tree, supporting our students with your time or efforts, coaching our kids, or cheering on our Huskies! It is something that makes me very proud of who we are and how we represent ourselves. Selfishly, when others try to diminish our flame, it makes me want to push even more to let others know that this is who WE ARE and we are proud of what we do as SRC!

In our busy lives—between classes, work, and many activities, it can be easy to lose sight of what truly drives us. We are surrounded by noise: expectations from others, the buzz of social media, and opinions that try to tell us what we should be (whether from other schools or peers). But the most powerful and meaningful voice is the one that comes from within.

This quote provides a foundation for what it means to be a confident and successful member of the SRC community. We want every student to be proud of the person you are right now. Your unique talents, your strengths, and your passions are the qualities that make our school awesome. Don't waste energy trying to fit a mold set by others. Instead, embrace your individuality, because that authenticity is what ultimately leads to true confidence and lasting success. Drown out the noise of negativity and comparison, and focus on your journey.

When you follow your heart, your actions become truly meaningful. Whether it's the focus on a difficult problem, your interactions shown to a classmate in the hallway, or the commitment to practicing a skill, your efforts matter. We celebrate the fantastic achievements that come from hard work and determination, but we are also proud of the courage you show just by staying true to your values. Let your integrity and quiet effort speak louder than any praise or criticism.

In other words, when you embrace your own inner strength and character, you become the best possible representative of SRC. School pride isn't just about wearing our colors or cheering at a game; it’s about consistently carrying the values of excellence, respect, and courage with us wherever we go. Every time you make a choice, show kindness, or push yourself academically/socially, you are defining what it means to be part of this community. Be courageous. Be authentic. Be SRC.

Have a great rest of your Sunday!

Quote of the week to reflect on:

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your hear and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become."

    Steve Jobs

    Sincerely,

    Tucker Tejkl
