Parents/Guardians:

This past week was National School Bus Safety Week and National School Lunch Week. I want to take a moment to recognize and show appreciation to our wonderful bus drivers and cafeteria staff. Thank you for all you do to support our students!

Congratulations to Mrs. Leslie Faulkner, our Educational Support Personnel of the Year! Mrs. Leslie is our school receptionist, and she has been voted by her peers for this award, which is a great honor. If you stop by our school or call, you will probably interact with Mrs. Leslie. Please be sure to congratulate her when you see her! We are so proud she is representing our school!

Field trips and extra curricular activities are underway at Butler, and we are thrilled to provide these opportunities to our students. Kinder and 1st grade recently enjoyed a trip to Jolly Bay Farm, and 4th grade enjoyed two days at Biophilia, both in Freeport. 3rd grade will head to Gulfarium next week, and we have more trips being planned. I also want to shout out our 4th & 5th grade Lego League teams that will practice at Freeport High School this Saturday. Hope you all have a great time!

Finally parents, thank you for looking over your child's report cards last week. You also have many other data points to gauge your child's year, including their FAST/STAR test scores, AR points, House points, attendance rate, and much more. Please let us know if you want a parent conference or anything we can do to ensure your child has a great year.

Hope to see everyone at Trunk or Treat tonight! Have a great weekend!

Florida is leading a first-in-the-nation approach that empowers students to persevere and overcome life’s inevitable challenges. The Florida Department of Education developed state education standards and resources to equip students with skills that build resiliency.

Teachers will find ways to incorporate opportunities to demonstrate "honesty" into their lessons, and we appreciate it if parents can encourage it as well!
