Hard Lockdown Drill: Tuesday, February 17th during 6th Period
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment we will participate in our scheduled hard lockdown drill next week. On Tuesday, February 17th, we will practice a hard lockdown during 6th period. A hard lockdown is a procedure our school would initiate if we had an imminent threat or potential danger inside our school building. Again, this is an announced practice lockdown drill. Please be assured, this is just a drill.
These drills are a critical part of our efforts to create a safe learning environment, and they help us prepare to respond swiftly and effectively should the need ever arise. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to maintain the safety of our school community.
During any type of lockdown situation, no one is allowed to enter or leave the building until authorities authorize the return to normal operations. We will have School Resource Officers on campus, and student check-ins and check-outs will resume after the drill concludes.

Despite this being our first year as a team, they ended up taking 4th place in the tournament, just missing the top 3 which would have sent them onto the District rounds.
Avery Burchette won Best Attorney for rounds 1 and 2, while Marissa Shoaf won Best Witness in round 2! If you run into any members of the Mock Trial Club, be sure to congratulate them on their performance! They've certainly earned it.
