Oct. 20, 2025: Staff Work Day - No School for students

Good Evening, Good Evening,

We had a fantastic end to the day today celebrating our amazing athletes, students involved in clubs and our Houses! Today's assembly assembly was full of school spirit as we cheered on Rêveur for winning the House Cup for Quarter 1 and also earning the Spirit Stick for their enthusiasm and energy this afternoon.

As a reward, Rêveur students will enjoy free Kona Ice on October 24, 2025! Don’t worry—all students will have the opportunity to purchase Kona Ice that day. Families can send in $5 or pre-order using the link below.

We also took time to recognize our House Point winners of the quarter—see their names listed below!

In the coming weeks, I’ll meet with students for a Quarter Reset Meeting to celebrate our successes and review the expectations that help keep our school positive and focused.

Looking forward to an even stronger Quarter 2—thank you for your ongoing partnership and support!

Take care,
Megan Kirsten

Science: Congrats! We are so glad to share that your student has completed Q1 of 8th grade science! We have been learning a lot and we as a team are so proud of them. We are currently wrapping up our genetics unit. We have been working on our Super Hero Project for over a month so we are very excited to be sharing our final exhibits on Tuesday Oct 21st. Ask your student about their genetics project, they are very creative!

Please be aware that this large project will be the first grade in Q2 for science and the science team will not accept any projects (even for partial credit) after Friday October 24th. This decision is due to the fact that we have worked on it for over a month and students were given deadlines to complete specific components of the project.

We’re always looking for ways to connect classroom learning to the real world or allow students to explore the future—and we’d love your help! If you're open to sharing your job title and a brief description of what you do, we’d love to learn more. We’re gathering a list of parents and guardians who might be interested in speaking to students about their careers, allowing students to shadow for a day, or participating in a future career fair.

If this sounds like something you'd consider, please take a moment to fill out this quick google form. Thank you for helping our students dream big!
