The Second Grade Music Concert and Art Gallery Walk is this Friday, December 12
Second Grade Music Concert and Gallery Walk
We are so excited for our upcoming 2nd Grade Music Concert! The concert will take place Friday, December 12 starting at 2:00 PM at the Primary Center. Please note that our concert will take place in the Primary Center gymnasium.
In conjunction with the 2nd grade concert, we will be hosting a 2nd grade art gallery walk! There will be a map printed on the back of your concert program that will guide your art gallery tour. After the concert, you may go pick up your child from their classroom and do the gallery walk together. With this event taking place near the end of our school day, we simply ask that you complete your gallery walk no later than 2:50 PM so that we can safely clear the hallways to get our students ready for dismissal.
We will be unlocking the north, south, and west Primary Center gymnasium doors starting at 1:30 PM. Guests will not be permitted into the building before 1:30 PM. We are encouraging families to park on Academy St. and 2nd St. There will only be minimal parking available in the PC lot and down in the ELC lot.
In our gymnasium, we will have bleacher and chair seating. We ask that the chair seating be reserved for visitors with mobility limitations, parents with small children, and as overflow seating once the bleachers are full.
At the end of the concert, teachers will be taking their students back to their classrooms. Parents will be dismissed by class to check in with the classroom teacher and pick up their child and then complete the art gallery walk.
The children are very excited about performing for us, and sharing their artwork! Thank you for being a part of this event. We are looking forward to seeing you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Vajda, Music Teacher, Ms. Godfrey, Art Teacher & Mrs. Johnson, Principal

Build-a-Sack Lunch Day – December 19
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We’re excited to announce that on Friday, December 19, we will be having a Build-a-Sack Lunch Day for K–2 students! This is a fun opportunity for students to decorate their own lunch bags and enjoy a special lunch.
We will provide the lunch bags ahead of time so students can decorate them at at school. Decorated bags can be brought to lunch on the 19th — even students who normally bring a cold lunch can participate by decorating a bag!
The menu for the day will include:
Turkey & Cheese Sandwich, Anytimer, or SunButter & Jelly
Carrots
Applesauce
Holiday Cookie
Slushy
We hope this fun activity will get our students excited about lunch and the holiday season. Thank you for helping your child participate in this festive event!
