Note from Mrs. Ratner
Hello Scott Families,
We wrapped up an exciting and busy week at school! Students were captivated by our Science Storm assemblies, where they explored weather patterns, lightning, and all things wild and windy. We also had an energetic and joyful Fun Run, and it was wonderful to see so many students showing school spirit, encouraging one another, and having fun while staying active. Along with classroom learning and other special activities, it was a week full of discovery, movement, and community.
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping make these experiences meaningful for our students, especially to our Home and School parents! We’re looking forward to another great week ahead.
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Tracey Ratner
Principal, Scott School

Seen Around Scott This Week . . .
Each week, we will feature information on school attendance, it's importance and our own school attendance statistics.
I am proud to announce that our weekly average for attendance this past week was 97%. Way to go everyone! Our goal is for our daily attendance to be 95% or higher, so we are on track. Our attendance dipped a little lower this week than it has been, so we will keep an eye on it!
Coming Next Week!

PBIS Trimester 2
We are excited to move into our bingo board incentive for Trimester 2 starting on Monday! We will be using new Eagle bucks that we have in the workroom starting on Monday that are blue. Students can “buy” a square on the board for 10 eagle bucks (or you can do another number) each week, and then put their name in a square. On Friday during the morning announcements, I will call a random square, and any student who has their name in that box can come down to the office for a prize.
Great news! We also met our 7,500 goal for first trimester! Our Spirit Week will be November 17th through November 21st.

New Car Line Procedures
As you know, it is difficult to get all of the cars through the car line in the morning from 8:00- 8:15 AM. Therefore, we are going to work on making a change to the car line to try before the weather gets bad. The reason we have not allowed students to get out of the car on Warwick Avenue is because we don't have enough supervision. However, we are going to need to use Warwick if we want to be more efficient. Now that we have other areas of the car line in better working order and safer, we are in a better place to try this. Starting on Monday the 17th (not this Monday the 10th!), we are going to allow kids to get out of their cars on Warwick (only up to a certain point!). We have increased the number of supervision duties our staff have to accommodate for this. We will be putting additional signage where the drop off cut off will be on Warwick, along with a staff member there to support this.
Next week, we will work to get this in place so we are ready to try it on Monday, November 17th.
S.U.C.C.E.S.S Reboot at Scott School

We welcome anyone who supports our mission.
S.U.C.C.E.S.S is hosting Huddles throughout the school year, and information on the dates/topics are attached in the document below. If you are interested in learning more or helping reboot Scott's program, please reach out to one of our parents, Mr. Thomas Morris, at morenaruto007@gmail.com.
