Senior of the Week

Kaitoe Garcia was nominated by his counselor, Mr. Roach. "I’m happy to nominate Kaitoe Garcia as my senior of the week! Kaitoe is new to Rowland this year but has quickly become an excellent addition to the Raider family. When I first met him, he requested to take a class where he could help others and make an impact on our campus. I immediately knew he would be a perfect fit for our Community of Caring class and has been a great support for Mrs. Phillips. It is always a pleasure to chat with him on campus, and I’m very proud of what he has accomplished so far and his ability to bounce back when faced with academic challenges. I’m honored that he will graduate as a Rowland Raider this June. Congratulations, Kaitoe, and keep up the good work!"

February is Financial Aid Awareness Month! 💰

Planning for college is an exciting journey, but figuring out how to pay for it can feel overwhelming. Financial Aid Awareness month is a time to learn about the many resources available to help make college more affordable!

Why is Financial Aid Important❓

Financial aid can help cover tuition, books, and other college expenses through:

✅ Grants – Free money you don’t have to pay back (like the Pell Grant and Cal Grant)

✅ Scholarships – Awarded based on achievements, interests, or financial need
✅ Work-Study Programs – Part-time jobs to help pay for college
✅ Student Loans – Borrowed money that must be repaid after graduation

Check back next week as we continue to share valuable information and resources for Financial Aid Awareness Month!

Visit the College & Career Center to learn more about Financial Aid or visit our website here.
