Viking School Update (10/22/2024)

What's new at Viking School?

Viking Victory Lap

On Friday, October 18, our Viking School community had the opportunity to recognize our students who participated in fall activities. Led by our Viking drumline and Victor Viking, all of our students cheered and recognized the efforts of our students. This was also an opportunity for our building to recognize Nora Gibson, who qualified and participated in the state cross country meet this weekend. We are looking forward to recognizing students participating in sports, drama, band and clubs throughout this entire school year. What a great way to end our week and start a new Viking tradition!

Viking School Parent Teacher Conferences

At the end of last week, all of our Viking families received information about our upcoming parent teacher conferences on Monday, November 25. Conferences are an excellent opportunity to learn more about your students progress at Viking School and allow for our partnership to grow. We hope to see all of you during parent teacher conferences either in person or virtually. Please click on the link below to learn more about parent teacher conferences and how to sign up with a teacher. If you have any questions or need help signing up, please call the Viking Main Office at 847-336-2108.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

We wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of our Viking families and community members for attending our District 56 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on October 10. A night that was filled with band/choir performances, soccer, dancing, food and activities and opportunities to learn more about community organizations. Leaving Viking School that evening gave us all a great sense of pride in our community. We are looking forward to celebrating all of our students throughout this school year!
