Principal's Update

Hello Fairburn Parents and Community,

Greetings, Fairburn Families,

Hello Parents,

Our first grading period ends on Friday, November 6, 2026. Parent Conferences will be held the week of November 16, followed by Thanksgiving week.

We have had a very active and enjoyable Fall semester, and it's been a pleasure working with our amazing FAB Parent Board and all of you. Our Student Council is busy planning a Movember Day to highlight Men's Health Awareness. Look for details in our upcoming Wire.

Thank you to Ms. Jasso, our Dance Teacher, and the 4th grade students for their wonderful dance on Friday. We love a flash mob.

As we enter the Winter holiday season, please remember the importance of attendance. Fairburn has improved its negative attendance for the first three months of school. As we enter this cold and flu season, we want to eliminate unexcused absences such as overnight trips to grandparents, amusement park visits, and just days off with the parents.

Please see below for information on Bullying and hazing; most of our complaints ultimately stem from students needing to understand healthy relationships and words. We will discuss appropriate words and communication at Coffee with the Principal the first week of December.

Have a great Halloween,

Ms Patterson Jones

Dia de los Muertos

Dear Fairburn Family,

As we prepare to celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), we warmly invite all staff members to participate in creating our Fairburn Community Ofrenda, a beautiful and meaningful tradition that honors and celebrates the lives of our loved ones who are no longer with us. 🧡

If you would like to participate, we invite you to bring a vertical 3 x 4-inch photo of a loved one you wish to honor, whether it be a family member, friend, or someone special who holds a place in your heart. Photos will be placed in frames and displayed on our community ofrenda.

🌼 Ofrenda Location: Main Office

📸 Photo Submission Deadline: Monday, October 26th

📍 Please Submit Photos To: Ms. Yenni in the Main Office

💕 Photo Return Date: Tuesday, November 3rd

Participation is completely optional, and everyone is welcome to take part in this heartfelt tradition.

Thank you for helping us create a beautiful space filled with love, cherished memories, and remembrance. May our ofrenda serve as a reminder that although our loved ones may no longer be with us, their love and memories live on in our hearts. 🧡

With gratitude,

Fairburn Family 🌼

A note from Nurse Eddin's Student illnesses

From the Nurse’s Desk 🩺✨

Dear Parents,

To maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone, please follow these required universal precautions immediately when a student loses a tooth in your classroom:

  • Mandatory Handwashing: Before leaving the classroom, the student must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water. This step is critical to remove any blood or saliva and prevent the spread of potential viruses and bacteria onto high-touch surfaces like doorknobs and office counters.

Your strict adherence to these hand hygiene practices and safety protocols is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school safe!

Sincerely,

Nurse Marie
