AMS / GATE News
Volleyball and Wrestling are going strong. It is time to start thinking about Spring! If your athlete is interesting in Track & Field, please have them signed up and compliant in Final Forms. Please note that if they are not passing 4 of their 6 classes, they are not eligible to participate in Track & Field.
ATHLETIC OFFICE
At the moment, the snow has melted and we can see our track and athletic fields. We're hoping for some dry weather so our fields can dry up and we can get outside!
GRADE CHECKS!
High School grade checks have started. Per MHSAA guidelines, students need to be passing 5 of their 7 classes. Grade checks are due every Wednesday. Failure to turn in the grade check form will also lead to an athlete being ineligible.
For Middle School athletes, grades will be checked every Wednesday. If an AMS/GATE student earns two ONES's in Academics and/or Skills for Successful Learners, they will be ineligible for ONE WEEK. If grades don't improve, students will remain ineligible in one week increments until they improve. Any eligibility appeals will be handled by the Athletic Director and AMS Administration. Coaches and teachers are unable to change eligibility.
We are running daily attendance reports for High School athletes at 2PM. Please make sure your student arrives on time so they can practice and compete.
Thanks again for all you do for athletic programs-

Support Beyond the Game
Wanted - Concession Stand Volunteers!!
The Avondale Athletic Boosters are in great need of volunteers for the concession stands. We have already had a few events without an open concession stand due to a lack of volunteers.
100% of all proceeds raised go back to Athletics. In the last 6 months, the Athletic Boosters have purchased 6 gear cages to store athletic equipment during the day, Varsity Soccer Backpacks, 2 AEDS to keep our athletes safe, 2 sets of Track and Field Hurdles, a new side-line table for our Athletic Trainer, and Wrestling Room Updates and Equipment. They also pay to update all our League Championship Banners in Main Street and so much more!!
We encourage teams, athletes, coaches, and parents to sign up and be part of this effort. Your time and support truly make a difference!
Thank you for helping us make this season a success!

Spectator Fees
We have to Pay?
Avondale School District DOES charge $7.00 per adult and student and $5.00 for Senior Citizen (62 & older) for events. We often get told by other schools that their school doesn't charge. Avondale High School is very fortunate to have their own Sports Complex. All of our outdoor fields (baseball, softball, Aux, and Dick Bye Field) are fenced in and not open to public use like a city park that some schools may use for their events. This luxury does come at a price. Besides paying for officials, we are paying for field upkeep , coaches, and transportation.
AVONDALE ATHLETIC BOOSTERS
Avondale Athletic Boosters
Athletic Boosters are a vital part of athletics. This Club is led by parent volunteers. All money raised in our indoor and outdoor concession stands comes back to athletics. They are always in need of volunteers. Please sign-up , Concession Stand Volunteers
Important Information about Attendance and Grades
Attendance and Grades
With the start of the new season, we have started running DAILY attendance reports on all of our rostered athletes. With the new rules in the Athletic Handbook, athletes must be present the entire day.
Academics are very important for our athletes. Therefore each athlete must complete weekly grade checks. The grade check sheets can be located just outside the athletic office and they are due EVERY WEDNESDAY.
Sports Physicals
Physicals for 2025-26
