Principal's Message
Mrs. Toya Spencer, district administrator, visits our building often. When she is in our building and walks the halls with me, I feel like I am walking with a celebrity. You see, "Ms. Toya" as the students affectionately refer to her, really connects with ALL of our students. She has created videos of her reading books and shared these with our elementary students. She has visited our elementary schools many times reading books to our students. While in any building, she talks with students in the hallways and visits their classrooms. She is one of the most kind and empathetic people that I have ever met.
We were very excited to have Ms. Toya visit Worthingway today and read The Hill We Climb by Amanda Gorman to our sixth grade students. The students really enjoyed her visit and we look forward to her coming back. We also had students share about historical figures who have made a positive impact and another student who read a poem.
Thank you to Ms. Randi Bateman and our sixth grade teacher team for organizing this event for our students.

Important REMINDERS
For 8th Grade Students
We are excited to announce that we have a field trip opportunity to the Delaware Area Career Center on Thursday, March 13th! This is a great opportunity for our 8th grade students who are interested in pursuing various career pathways within their high school career, thus preparing them for life after high school graduation. Students who are interested must submit this Google form as well as a permission slip that Mrs. Todd will provide them starting February 24th. The permission slip will contain the full agenda of the day and additional details of the visit, but students can expect to depart from Worthingway around 10:45am and return to school by 2:00pm. Additionally, students will also need to pack their own lunch and can work with Mrs. Todd for accommodations on this as well. Spaces for this trip are limited so we ask that you please have your student fill out the Google interest form as soon as possible (please only submit the form once.)
Feel free to explore the DACC's website and let Mrs. Todd know if you have any questions at ctodd@wscloud.org .
