Week 11: November 2-6, 2026
Week 11: Report Card Conference, Election Day, Picture Retakes, Q1 Awards
Dear New Field families,
November is a short but action-packed month at New Field. As we kickoff week 11, please be reminded that Monday, November 2 is Report Card Conference Day from 11:00 - 2:00 & 3:00 - 6:00. There is no school for students. We will have assistance available for GoCPS applications, a free book bundle and backpack giveaway, and of course our classrooms doors are open for you to learn more about your child's progress this school year.
Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day and schools are closed. Be sure to vote - it is an important civic responsibility and school board elections are happening for our first, fully elected school board. When we return to school on Wednesday, November 4 we have Picture Retake Day from 9:00 - 12:00. If you would like your child to have their photo retaken, be sure to return the original photo packet/proofs. All students that were absent for fall picture day will also have their pictures taken. See below for more important information for ordering pictures online or paying in person.
Lastly, as we round out the end of Week 11 we are excited to celebrate our first quarter student award winners. Assemblies will be held on Friday, November 6 at 9:30 - 10:40 for Grades 2, 3 & 4 - and at 2:30 - 3:30 for Kinder & Grade 1. Please be sure to check with your child's teacher to see if your child is winning an award. All students receiving an award will receive an assembly invitation at report card conference day. We will celebrate the following awards:
- Perfect Attendance/Nearly Perfect Attendance - no more than 1 absence in the first 43 days of school.
- Honor Roll - Graded 1-4, all As and Bs on report cards for the first quarter
- Lionheart Award - Two students that always demonstrate our core values of respect, responsibility and collaboration.
- Principal's Award - One student that has shown exceptional kindness or inclusivity to others, or a student that has demonstrate immense academic or socio-emotional growth.
Wishing you all a great report card conference day and a cozy start to November.
Warmly,
