Dryden Splash | April 5, 2026

Dear Dryden Families,
This week, our students have been shining in so many wonderful ways! From celebrating creativity in the classroom to recognizing positive behavior and teamwork, it has been a joy to see the learning and excitement happening throughout our school. We are so proud of our students and the meaningful experiences they are having each day.
As a culminating activity for their poetry unit in writing, first graders selected their favorite poem to take through the publishing process. They published their work digitally using the app PicCollage and then printed their final pieces. Each student also recorded themselves reading their poem, and then created a QR code to attach so others could listen to their reading.
On Friday, they celebrated with a First Grade Poetry Share-Out! Students had the opportunity to listen to one another’s poems and were excited to identify elements such as repetition, alliteration, onomatopoeia, and rhyming in what they heard. It was a joyful and engaging way to celebrate their hard work and creativity.
Miss Considine’s second grade class did an amazing job working together and following the Dolphin Do’s over the last month, which helped them earn enough marbles to fill their class marble jar! They voted to celebrate with a glow day!
Please enjoy the photos below for a glimpse into these special classroom moments. We love sharing the joyful learning happening at Dryden with our families!
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We are so grateful for our Dryden families and all you do to help make our school community so special.
Warmly,
Jessica Martinsen
