Dear Families,

Century is excited to bring back "Pastries with Parents" on Thursday, February 13th at 7:00 am. Please note that all tickets need to be purchased online. Tickets are $5 per person. For example: A dad, a mom, and three kids would cost $25.00. Please use the name of your oldest child when purchasing below. Tickets will go home on Wednesday the 12th with your oldest child. Online ticket sales will end on Monday, February 10th at midnight. We will have a photographer in the library to take a picture of your family. Coffee, chocolate or white milk, and a tasty treat will be available in the MPR. We are ordering supplies based on online purchases and may not have any extras for walk-ins.

It’s that time of year again to call upon our STEMpowered students and their families to represent Century Elementary on our Science Olympiad team! If your 4th-6th grade child is interested in participating, please be sure to attend our Science Olympiad information meeting on Tuesday, February 11th at 4:15 in the MPR. This is a spring-long commitment with weekly practices each Tueday at 4:15 beginning March 4th - culminating in a Saturday competition on May the 3rd. Keep in mind parent/guardian participation and coaching will be a large part of your child’s success!

Please put names in your child's belongings, especially coats. Children take their coats off at recess while playing and leave them outside. We work hard to get lost items back to students, please help us with this by putting names in them. Unclaimed items will be donated.

The Century PTC sponsors the Birthday Book Club for the library. Any student who would like to participate may come to the library and purchase a book from a selection to donate to our Century library. This program has been very exciting for the students at Century. They enjoy being the first to check out their book, seeing their pictures on the birthday wall, and checking out books that have been donated by their friends.

In recognition of your donation, a label will be placed inside the front of the book, we will add your picture to our birthday wall in the library, and your donation will be acknowledged during morning announcements. At the end of each month, the names of students who participated in the Birthday Book Club will be printed in the Century Bulletin.

We will send a reminder about the Birthday Club to students the month of their birthday. This program is voluntary. If you have any questions please call Mrs. Cordova in the library at (559) 327-8482.

The Birthday Marquee is available for families to recognize their child's birthday! Help celebrate your child's birthday by wishing him/her a Happy Birthday on the school's marquee. Birthday wishes will be posted for a week. Sign up and pay $20 online.

School starts for Morning Kindergarten at 7:35 and Afternoon Kindergarten at 11:10, and on Wednesdays at 10:25. If you arrive late, please report to the office for a late pass.
