Dear ELC/PC Families,
What a truly WONDERFUL school year it has been! Our students, staff, and families have so much to celebrate and be proud of—and it's all because of the incredible community we’ve built together.
This year, our dedicated staff poured their hearts into creating safe, joyful, and engaging learning environments. Their tireless efforts and deep commitment to student success have been nothing short of inspiring. To our families—your unwavering support, whether through volunteering, attending events, or partnering with us from home, has made a tremendous difference. Thank you for being an essential part of our team.
A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding K–5 Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)! Your continued generosity and dedication helped fund special programs, classroom resources, and memorable field trips—enriching our students’ experiences in meaningful ways. We are truly grateful for your partnership.
To the students and families returning for the 2025–2026 school year—I'm already excited to welcome you back for another year of growth and discovery! Be on the lookout for teacher welcome letters arriving via email on Friday, August 1, 2025.
To those moving on to a new chapter—whether to another school district or to the Intermediate Center—thank you for being a part of our school family. It has been a true pleasure to work with your children. You’ve helped make the ELC/PC an even more special place to learn and grow.
This summer, I’d love to hear from your child! Encourage them to keep their writing skills sharp by sending me a letter—I promise to write back! Letters can be mailed to:

I am deeply grateful to do this work with such an incredible school community. It is our students, families, staff, and this amazing village that make our schools truly shine. Wishing you all a summer filled with sunshine, adventure, and joyful family moments.
Warmly,
Rachael Johnson

Medication Pick-Up & Preparation for Next School Year
As the school year wraps up, please take note of important information regarding student medications.
End-of-Year Medication Pick-Up
If your student has medication in the health office at the ELC or PC, it's essential that you pick it up before the last day of school. For safety, medications cannot be sent home in backpacks.
For any prescription medications that need to remain until the very end of the school year, you can pick them up by 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
If you're unable to collect them by then, pick-up will also be available during summer school hours at the Primary Center:
June 16 - June 27
July 7 - July 18
Hours: 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Please call the PC office if these times don't work for you. Any medications not picked up will be discarded after July 25, 2025.
Summer School Medication
If your child is attending summer school, please know that all medications will be transferred to their summer school location. Remember to pick up these medications promptly after summer school concludes on July 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM. If these times are not feasible, please call the PC office to make other arrangements. Medications will be discarded after July 25, 2025.
Preparing Medication for Next School Year
To ensure a smooth start to the next school year, if your student will require medication at school, please:
Work with their healthcare provider over the summer to update any prescriptions or emergency action plans (for EpiPens or inhalers).
Ensure all prescriptions and emergency action plans are completely filled out and signed by both the provider and parent.
Bring all medication in its original container, clearly labeled with your child's name and the correct dosage, prior to the first day of school.
We hope your family has a happy and healthy summer break. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Christy Staats

PTO News
Our K-5 PTO has had a fantastic year! We could not have done it without your support. We truly appreciate all who donated to our organization through the Bucky Book, our Brats in the Lot, the silent auction, Culver's Share Night, and Snack Attack donations! We hope your families enjoyed our fall and spring dances, craft night, movie night and Bingo night! We are looking forward to bringing all these events back next year! We would love to have more volunteers either join our group or help with various events and projects. Please join us the second Wednesday of each month (during the school year) at 6:30 in the IC cafeteria. We are kid-friendly!
We hope to see you for our Icki Sticki Share Day on Wednesday, June 11th from 11:00-9:00!
We would love your feedback! Please take a moment to complete this brief survey!
