Falcon Family Shout-Outs
We would love to invite YOU to give a shout-out to any Fort Wright staff member who has made a positive difference for your child or family. Whether they went above and beyond, showed kindness, offered encouragement, or simply made your child’s day a little brighter, we want to hear about it!
If you would like to recognize and celebrate the wonderful people who make Fort Wright Elementary a special place to learn and grow, please complete the Falcon Family Shout Out Form.
Family Literacy Night
There’s So Much S’more to Reading!
Spark a love for reading! Warm up around the campfire with classroom strategies, book fair fun, and dinner.
Event Highlights:
- Grade-Level Teacher Sessions: Meet with teachers to get an inside look at what reading instruction looks like in the classroom and learn grade-level reading strategies to support your child at home. While parents attend coaching sessions with grade-level teachers, FWE students will enjoy teacher-led activities in a separate room.
- Book Fair: Discover new stories and build your home library. The Book Fair will only be open following the coaching sessions.
- Dinner: Enjoy a bite to eat with family and friends provided by the PTA!
- Raffle & Prizes: Enter for your chance to win gift baskets!
Fill out the form below so we can plan accordingly!

Secretary Notes
As we work together to give our students the best possible learning experience, we wanted to share a friendly reminder regarding morning arrival and attendance:
· Morning Arrival: Please ensure your child is in their classroom and ready to learn by 8:50 a.m. Arriving on time helps our morning run smoothly and minimizes classroom disruptions so everyone can dive right into learning.
· Planning Ahead: We kindly ask that you check our school calendar prior to scheduling appointments or family vacations so your child doesn't miss valuable instruction time. If you know of an upcoming scheduled absence, please be sure to communicate that with your child's homeroom teacher as soon as possible.
· Absences & Parent Notes: Regular attendance is essential for student success! As a reminder, each student is allowed up to 10 parent notes per school year.
If your child will be absent, please let us know by emailing fw.attendance@kenton.kyschools.us or calling 859-331-7742 (Option 1) to leave a message.
Thank you so much for your partnership and support in creating an optimal learning environment for our students!
