Spanish Club Field Trip

Spanish Club recently spent a morning at the Latino Arts Community Center in Milwaukee, learning more about Día de Muertos--Day of the Dead. They explored Ofrendas (altars dedicated to people) for inspiration. Then they were able to create their own stamps. Afterward, they enjoyed a delicious meal at Botanas Restaurant.

Lady Foxes took the best of five (3-2) in a thriller on Tuesday night in the Den to advance to the regional semi-finals! Unfortunately, their season came to an end against Valley Christian School on Thursday. That does not mean to say these ladies did not have an incredible season and Omro is so proud of each one of them! Congratulations, Ladies!!

Meal Account Balance Notifications

To help you stay informed about your student’s meal account balance, Food Service sends low-balance notifications through Skyward. These alerts notify you when your child’s balance falls below $15.00, giving you time to add funds before the account reaches zero.

Please note that families must turn on these notifications in Skyward to receive the emails.

To enable low-balance notifications:

  1. Log in to your Skyward Family Access account.

  2. Select My Account in the upper right corner.

  3. At the bottom of the page under the Email Notifications, check whether you’d like to receive the notification on your wall, through email, or both.

We encourage all families to enable this feature to avoid unexpected meal charges or interruptions.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student has access to meals each day!

Attendance Reminders

For Absences: To call your child in for school, please dial 920-303-2300 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave a message with your name, your child's name and reason for absence. If the absence is illness related, please note any symptoms in your message.

For students who are in extra curricular activities: Students must be in attendance for the entire school day in order to practice or compete in an event. Special circumstances may merit exception with prior approval from the Principal/Dean of Students, or designee. To see if the absence can be approved:

  • Step 1 - Parent/Guardian notification to office (Mrs. Prado, Mrs. Stadler or Mrs. Dobberstein) at least 24 hours prior to absence)
  • Step 2 - If absence is approved, Student picks up signed Excused Slip from office
  • Step 3 - Student gives signed Excused Slip to coach/advisor to participate the day of the absence

Students are allowed 10 occurrences per school year. Medical and dental appointments can be considered a "no count" absence with a doctor's note provided and will not count toward the student's 10 days. Driving lessons, however, DO count as an occurrence as it is not something offered by the school district. If you have any questions regarding what does and does not count toward your child's days, please feel free to contact their school office for more information!

If an absence is deemed unexcused it will result in ineligibility for participation in extracurricular activities until the next full day of attendance.
