Happy Friday Hawkins,

We survived a rainy week. Indoor recess always changes the dynamics of a day. I loved seeing all the creativity of 100’s day, and the Glow Party that Mrs. Minch threw was pretty amazing. We also had a Huddle this week where we focused on Kindness. Kindergarten Roundup is on Monday, February 23rd from 6-7pm. If you know of any possible kindergarten or junior kindergarten families, please share that with them. A reminder with all this wet weather, please make sure your child has a change of clothes here at school in case they get wet or muddy. It will save you a phone call and trip to Hawkins. The district will be holding a Transportation Work Group Meeting, on Wednesday March 4th, in the media center at Maltby, from 7-9 pm. At this meeting they will discuss current challenges like route lengths, staffing, congestion in the parking lots thus adding to route lengths and finally to discuss possible solutions. If you would like to attend as a representative for Hawkins, please reach out to me. I have been crazy busy reffing, as we approach tournament time, and have been consumed with watching the Olympics. These little glimmers of warm weather have me so ready for spring. Have a great weekend!

Mr. McAuliffe

*One last reminder that today is the last day to order a 25/26 Hawkins Yearbook. Don't let this opportunity pass as we cannot guarantee we will have extras to sell. To order visit Order Your Hawkins Yearbook TODAY!**

Brighton High School Musical Theatre Presents Disney’s Frozen

Brighton High School Musical Theatre Presents Disney’s Frozen March 13–22, 2026

BRIGHTON, Mich. (Feb. 3, 2026) — For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm as Brighton Musical presents Disney’s Frozen, with seven performances March 13–22, 2026, at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts.

Based on the Academy Award®–winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage.

In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home — with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.

Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the true meaning of love.

Tickets — $17 for students, $22 for adults and seniors, and $100 for the Red Carpet Gala — are available now at BrightonMusical.com for the following G-rated performances at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts:

Please make sure your child has an extra set of clothes in their backpack. Accidents happen while your child is at school (bathroom accidents, playground mishaps, lunchroom spills, ripped or torn clothes, etc.) and we do not have extra clothes to lend out. Having an extra set here at school saves parents from having to make a trip to Hawkins during the day. We appreciate your help!
