Good morning Huskie Families,

We enjoyed a moving Veteran's Day breakfast and assembly last week. As always, a huge thank you to the parent volunteers who helped with setup, serving breakfast, and cleanup after. We are grateful for your support!

A few fun events and reminders for this week:

  • We're holding a special winter spirit wear sale, offering winter hats and cozy pajama pants. Orders are due by Sunday, November 23.
  • Skip cooking and clean up and head to Panera on Thursday, November 20 for our latest dough raising event! A portion of proceeds from each sale goes back to Spring Brook.
  • Students are encouraged to get creative for Multicultural Day by making posters about their heritage. We also need parent volunteers to help run this fun event. See below for more!

As always, check our website for all things related to the Spring Brook PTA!

Have a good week!

Friday, December 5th is Multicultural Day at Spring Brook! During the school day, students will "travel" to four different countries including Taiwan, Moldova, Germany and Palestine to learn about them and participate in a craft or activity specific to that country's culture.

Parent Volunteers:

We need your help! To make this day run smoothly for our students, we need parents to help facilitate crafts and activities at each country's station. Sign up here!

Student Posters:

As a way to represent even more countries that are part of our Spring Brook culture, we'd also like to see students create a poster representing their heritage. Last year, the hallway was filled with vibrant, detailed posters representing many different countries, and they were beautiful! The posters will be displayed around the hallway to the gym for students and parents to admire.

Use the poster guidelines below and turn it by Monday, December 1st. Make sure posters are labeled with student name, class, and contact email. We can't wait to see what you create!

Order Speed Stack sets by Friday, November 21

Have you heard of Sports Stacking? It's an exciting sport where students stack and unstack 12-specially designed cups (Speed Stacks). As Mr. Vine kicks off a Sport Stacking unit in PE this week, we want to let you know that the same Speed Stack sets and StackMats he uses in class are available for purchase. Like most parents, you probably want to keep your kids active (and off screens) during the winter months - consider purchasing a set! Proceeds help support our gym program. See the attachment for details.

The Tile Project Starts 11/21!

The Tile Wall Project is your child's opportunity to create art that will be printed onto ceramic tiles and hung forever on the walls of Spring Brook. Encourage your child to leave their legacy. Kids love to go down the tile hall to see their tile art!

This is the time for kindergarteners to create their first tile for the hall, the last chance for fifth graders to leave their mark, and fun for everyone in between to see their art for years to come!!

Flyers, instructions and vendor-designed forms are going home with students by November 21. You will also be provided with digital copies of these items once you have registered for this project. Please allow up to 48 hours to receive the materials and check your junk mail, the email will come from sb_tilewall@hotmail.com. Students should complete their artwork at home and return finished masterpieces to the school or event coordinator Adrienne Sagen.

The cost is $20.00 per tile. You can register and complete your artwork anytime between November 21 – December 19, 2025. All finished artwork is due by December 19, 2025.

Purchase today at: springbrook.givebacks.com/shop

Any questions, e-mail Adrienne Sagen at sb_tilewall@hotmail.com.

Now Collecting Donations for Bingo for Books!

We are excited to host our annual Bingo for Books event again this year, on January 8. This event is a great opportunity for your student to gather with their Huskie friends to have some fun and win books!

We are currently collecting donations of any good condition, elementary appropriate books. We do not accept board books, and can always use more books for our 4th & 5th grade students.

Book donations can be delivered to the school starting in December. Prior to that, you can arrange for a pick up or drop off with our Bingo for Books chair, Jacqueline Baird.
