This year, to streamline communication, we decided to make a one-stop-shop for all things Hillcrest "The Heart of Hillcrest". This site will help guide parents on what is going on at Hillcrest and who to contact for various questions. This site will be upgraded regularly.
When our new website administrators are trained, we will also update our website with the same information.
The goal is to have the same information in three different platforms to make it readily accessible.
Hillcrest Celebrations
North Texas Giving Day
We have over $60,000 donated to various Hillcrest organizations through North Texas Giving Day! Thank you to everyone who has donated. It's not too late to donate as the donation pages stay open throughout the entire school year.
Seal of Biliteracy Success
Last year Hillcrest had the third-highest number of graduating seniors in the district who earned the Seal of Biliteracy, 88, trailing only Woodrow Wilson HS and Townview TAG. Thank you to the entire World Languages department for their hard work.
Volleyball Future Panther Night
Volleyball celebrated Future Panther Night Friday with students grades pre-k through 8th grade who are looking forward to playing volleyball at Hillcrest someday! Students were able to enjoin free entry to the game, food, Hillcrest Volleyball t-shirts and swag, and a run through the tunnel to the court with our varsity girls to start the match. And your Lady Panthers showed out with a 4 TEAM SWEEP OVER TJ!

15 for All
A special thank you to Mr. Booth and co-sponsor Mrs. Sandles for launching the 15 for All program at Hillcrest High School!
This program focuses on preparing students for college before they ever step onto a college campus. Through 15 for All, students learn the responsibilities and expectations of college, develop strong study habits, become aligned with college-level coursework, and gain the skills needed to succeed academically. These students will graduate high school with 15 college credits.
Thank you, Mr. Booth and Mrs. Sandles, for investing in our students and helping prepare them to become college-ready, career-ready, and globally competitive! ❤️🖤🎓🐾

Application Workshops
We know students have busy schedules, and we also know that class time is important. That is why we make efforts to be available outside of the school day and work around your student’s schedule. Our ASP office is open Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (We are at the Richland campus most Wednesday and every other Friday) Students are welcome to stop by before school, during lunch, or after school to meet with us. We can also schedule appointments to stay after 5:00 p.m. when students need additional time and reach out to us in advance.
This month, we will be hosting two evening Application Parties! One on September 9th 4:30-6:30pm and September 22nd 4:30-7pm. Dinner will be provided, and our advisors will be on campus later in the day to help students work on college applications, essays, scholarships, and anything else they need to stay on track.
ASP SAT Prep
Want to boost your SAT score? Free ASP SAT Prep starts Tuesday, September 8th, and will meet every Tuesday from 4:40 to 5:30 PM in the Library! Come get extra practice, strategies, and support as you prepare for the SAT. All Hillcrest students are welcome!
It’s never too early to start preparing for the SAT! Beginning Tuesday, September 8, ASP will host SAT Prep in the Library after school. We’ll alternate between Math and English each week, and snacks will be provided! Each student has access to two free SAT fee waivers. Stop by the ASP office if you have questions about registering for the SAT or using your fee waivers.
As always, please don't hesitate to stop by the ASP office in the Library, Room 187, to ask us questions, learn more about upcoming events and opportunities for students, or tell us about the amazing things happening in your classrooms.

Parent Resources
Stock the Teacher's Lounge and Workroom
The Hillcrest PTSA helped our teachers and staff start the school year off right!
We’ve stocked the workroom and break room with coffee, tea, and snacks to keep our amazing educators fueled through all the busy school days ahead.
Thank you to our teachers and staff for all you do for our Panthers—we’re excited for a great year ahead!
Help us continue to stock the teacher's lounge and workroom all year. Take a look at our Amazon Wish List and shower our staff with goodies! Click the link below.
How to check-out a student who drives
Email Ms. Balderas at hillcresths@dallasisd.org with a written note that the students needs to be checked-out, the reason, and at what time. In addition, a photo ID of the requester needs to be attached to the email. This is to verify the requester has the legal authority to check out the student.
Be in the Know!
We want every Panther family to feel connected, informed, and involved! Each grade level has a dedicated parent leader ready to share updates, answer questions, and keep everyone in the loop. Together, we can cheer on our Panthers, plan exciting events, host fun fundraisers, and build a strong community. Let’s work side by side to create lasting memories and make these high school years the very best!
