Lunch Menu Change
Please note that on Monday, October 26th, we have a change in the posted breakfast menu. Instead of Pumpkin Bread, the cafeteria will offer GoodyMan Pull-a-Part Glazed Flower Donuts along with cereal. These donuts are made with 51% whole grain, 8 g of sugar, 4g of protein, and are manufactured in a Peanut/Tree nut free facility
Scouting America
Representatives from Scouting America will visit Liberty Elementary on Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27, prior to the start of classroom instruction. During their visit, they will give a very brief presentation about the programs offered through Scouting America, and distribute a token bracelet to students. Families who prefer that their child not participate in the presentation may notify the school’s main office before the scheduled presentation.
Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found continues to grow - including 78 hoodies! Please encourage your child to stop by and check for any missing belongings. Parents and guardians are also welcome to visit the school and look through the Lost & Found area for items their child may have misplaced. Any items that remain unclaimed before Thanksgiving break will be donated to a local charity. Thank you for helping us reunite students with their belongings!
Holiday Help
If your family could use some assistance with gifts for your children this holiday season, please reach out to Mrs. Roberts by October 28th.
Phone: 614-450-5220
Email: rroberts@wscloud.org
We have a few organizations that may be able to help some Liberty families. Assistance is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so please reach out as soon as possible if your family would like to be considered.
We are happy to help connect families with available resources this holiday season!
Veterans Day Breakfast Volunteer Opportunities
Once again this year, we will honor our local Veterans on Wednesday, November 11th. As in previous years, Liberty provides a continental breakfast for our guests before the program begins.
Please consider signing up to bring a breakfast item to share with our guests. You are welcome to select an item from this Sign-Up Genius or bring something not listed. Items can be dropped off in the art room by 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11th or in the office the day before the event.
We also can use a couple of adults to help set up on Wednesday morning. Please follow this link if you’re willing to assist with the continental breakfast. Thank you for helping to make this a special day for our local veterans!
Worthington Resource Pantry Food Drive Beginning Soon
Liberty Elementary students will be collecting food for the Worthington Resource Pantry. More information will follow next week. In the meantime, if you are grocery shopping this weekend, you might consider purchasing some extra nonperishable items for the upcoming drive. The food drive will run from November 9 - 19. Thank you for helping to take care of our neighbors!

Veteran's Day Celebration
Our Veteran's Day Celebration is Wednesday, November 11th, and we'd love for all our Liberty Family Veterans to celebrate with us, even if you’ve been honored in the pass.
If you'd like your Veteran included as a guest and/or in our slide show. Please complete the RSVP HERE or use the QR code found below.
Harvest Party & Parade
Harvest Day activities and parade will be held Friday, October 30th. Wearing a costume is optional. If your child chooses to wear a costume, they should come to school in the morning dressed in their costume. Parents are invited to watch the costume parade beginning at 8:35 a.m. on the playground (behind the school). If it rains, we will communicate with you that the outside portion of the parade will be canceled. If you do not hear from us, the parade will continue as planned.
For any student that chooses not to dress-up and/or participate in the costume parade, they are invited to visit the library during the parade time. Students do not need to give anyone a reason why they are choosing not to wear one.
For students who do dress-up, the costume may not include any of the following:
- Violent language or images (no blood or anything too scary)
- Weapons (including plastic, toy)
- Hate speech or language/images that create a hostile or intimidating environment
- Students are not permitted to wear masks.
If a student wants to change after the parade, they should wear street clothes under their costume.
Teachers will communicate with families if there are additional details to share about the day regarding activities inside the classroom.
FREE Thanksgiving Meal from the Worthington Presbyterian Church
Every year, Worthington Presbyterian Church helps the Worthington Community by providing a Thanksgiving ‘box meal’ for families who may need a little help during the holiday season. The box meal includes a frozen turkey, bag of potatoes, canned vegetables, gravy , stuffing mix, brownie mix, fresh fruit, butter, and a gallon of milk.
If your family could benefit from receiving a Thanksgiving meal, please contact Mrs. Roberts, our school counselor, at (614) 450-5200 or email her at rroberts@wscloud.org. Liberty has a set number of meals, so it’s first come first served. Families are asked to pick up the food on Tuesday November 24th (the last day of school before Thanksgiving break) between 11:00 - 3:00.
