Patriot's Pointe

Greetings Patriot Families,
I hope everyone has enjoyed their Labor Day holiday and spending time with family and friends over the long weekend. We have a short but busy week ahead of us at The Creek! Our district wide Algebra I Interim assessment window opens tomorrow for all students enrolled in the course. This assessment is designed to measure what our students know and should be able to to. Parents please ensure that your student is spending time on homework and practice problems to stay abreast of new learning material. Additionally, our 4.5 week progress reports will be issued on Tuesday, September 8th via Infinite Campus. Parents, this is a great time to review your students grades and schedule a conference with teachers.
Our first School Council meeting will be held this week on Thursday, September 10th in the Media Center at 7:15am. We invite our parents out to hear the latest information about the state of our school and to get your input on initiatives and programs that can help our students. Additionally, our AFJROTC will commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 7:30am at the flagpole. This program is open to the public and will feature our first responders, police, fire departments, and community leaders.
🏈 Congratulations to Coach Smiley and our Varsity Football team for defeating North Clayton, 28-19. This week, our team will face Fayette County High School at home on Friday, September 11th at 7:30pm. Let's pack their house just like we showed up last week and support our reigning State Champions!
🥎 Congratulations to Coach Chisolm and our Varsity Softball team who defeated McDonough High School in a shut out 9-0! You can support the Lady Patriot's at home again this week on Wednesday as they face Mundy's Mill.
Please come out and support our student athletes at home this week. A schedule of all of our events can be found further down in our "Weekly Happenings" section.
Here’s to a powerful start and a year where we will Do Hard Things!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

This year, applications are open to Georgia public school students in grades 10-12 (including charter and virtual students). To broaden student voice, Superintendent Woods will also invite two homeschool students and two private school students to participate.

New Parent Drop Off and Bus Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
Please note that we have updated our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. These changes are intended to separate parent vehicles from student drivers, creating a safer environment for students as they cross the street and enter the building.
Bus Arrival/Dismissal:
Students who ride the bus will be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school behind the cafeteria.
Student Drivers:
Students who drive to school must park only in the designated student parking lot and display a valid parking pass on their rearview mirror. After parking, students should use the designated sidewalk adjacent to the student parking lot and remain on that path when entering the cafeteria each morning. Students are not permitted to park in the faculty parking lot. Violators will lose their parking privilege and have a sticker placed on their vehicle.
Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up:
Parent drop-off and pick-up will now take place at the front entrance of the school through the faculty parking lot. Please follow the traffic flow indicated by the arrows in the diagram below. To help ensure that faculty and staff can arrive and begin the school day on time, we ask that parents refrain from parking in faculty parking spaces during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
We appreciate your cooperation, patience, and support as we implement these updated procedures. Thank you for partnering with us to help make our arrival and dismissal process as safe and efficient as possible for all students and staff.
La hora límite para la salida de estudiantes es a las 3:15. No se harán excepciones después de esta hora.
Electronic Device Policy
At Sandy Creek High School, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student can thrive. To support a strong and focused start to the school year, students may not use personal electronic devices including cell phones, earbuds/headphones, Meta glasses, smart watches, or similar devices, during the school day. This expectation applies in all areas of the building, including classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, gym/locker rooms, and restrooms. By minimizing distractions and maximizing opportunities for engagement, we are helping our students build meaningful connections, remain present in their learning, and begin the year with the habits that lead to success. We appreciate your partnership and support as we work together to provide every student with a positive learning experience.
Parent Square: Your Hub for Communication!
The Parent Square app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
Get started with Infinite Campus
The Infinite Campus app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct
To ensure accurate bus information for every student, Fayette County Public Schools requires families to formally request transportation services before riding the school bus.
All students MUST BE REGISTERED in order to ride a bus. Please convey transportation needs for student(s) by logging into your Campus Parent portal and navigating to the Survey tool. Click here for more information on completing Campus Surveys.
School bus information will also be available in your student's Campus Portal account as well as on the BusQuest mobile app.
Please note that new enrollments and address changes may take up to 48 hours to be processed by the Transportation Department. This time is needed to assign students to a bus stop and/or adjust their route if necessary.
- Students attending outside their school zone on special permission are not eligible for bus transportation
- Students living within a non-transport zone are not eligible for bus transportation.
Student Parking Pass
Student Parking passes are available all year for $70 and should be displayed in the bottom corner of the driver's side windshield.

Friends and Family Sponsorship
We have a rich tradition in athletics here at Sandy Creek with more than 10 State Championships in sports such as football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams. The vision at Sandy Creek High School is to provide students a competitive advantage in whatever endeavor they choose after high school. With your assistance we can help the students prepare for those endeavors while branding your business and supporting our community. Please view the information attached about the sponsorship and digital scoreboard.
We would like to recognize our FIRST Family Sponsor, The Harvey Family! The Harvey Family has donated $1,000 to our scoreboard fundraiser and we are hoping you can match or double their contribution soon! Who will be next to accept the challenge????
Corporate Sponsorship
SCHS hopes that your company would be interested in becoming a premier sponsor for our digital scoreboard program! Choose from one of four value packages below to present your brand and message to students and fans within your community while supporting the schools and helping fund a platform that provides real career opportunities for students
