CommonLit Benchmarks 6th-8th grade December 11-17
Monday, December 8-Tuesday, December 9 - iReady Math Diagnostics 6th-8th grade
Thursday, December 11 - Spring Athletics Meeting for girls interested in playing basketball and boys interested in playing soccer will be held on Thursday, December 11 @ 5:00pm in the cafeteria
Thursday, December 11 - Please join us at 5:30pm for our winter band concert in the gymnasium!
Thursday, December 11 - Please join us for a Title 1 Night of Learning! Teachers will present information on study tactics, how to prepare for the EOG's, and Infinite Campus. Presentations will begin in classrooms at 6:00pm.
- Our spelling bee students have been working and studying hard! The grade level spelling bees will be held Friday, December 12th during their electives in the library. The winners from each grade level will then participate in our School Spelling Bee which will take place during the last period of the day on Wednesday, December 17th.
BMS will conduct a shelter-in-place drill next week. Separate communication pertaining to the drill will be communicated next week as well. We practice these drills to be prepared in the event of a true emergency. Teachers will be conscientious of student needs to ensure they feel safe, prepared, and as comfortable as possible during the process.

Students’ NC Check-In Individual Student Reports are now available for parent and guardian review in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Families, still need to order pictures? Our NEW Code Lookup Tool is now available. How to Order BMS School Pictures They can simply scan the QR code and follow the directions to access their child's picture ordering gallery. No need to contact Customer Service for an access code! *Student last name and Student ID number will be required for data security.* If at any time your parents or guardians have questions about the Code Lookup or are having difficulty navigating the site, they can still reach out to our Customer Service team via the Live Chat on our website, www.strawbridge.net

- Parents & Guardians - Please review our dress code policy with your child Policy Code: 4316 Student Dress Code. We had several dress code violations this week.

Families, we need your help ensuring students bring their Chromebooks to school each day. Also, we ask that non-essential electronics (Airpods and Beats headphones) be left at home. If your child has a lost or damaged Chromebook fee, please pay that fee as soon as possible.

The BURGAN MIDDLE SCHOOL PTO will be selling pizza, snacks, and drinks.

School Hours: 7:30-2:45pm (students are tardy after 7:30am)
Students exit bus/car at 7:10am (buses utilize the back of school/cars utilize the front of school)
For the 2025-26 school year, breakfast and lunch will be provided, at no cost, to all students at our school

Here Comes the Bus will be available again this school year. Please remember that it is not accessible during the first few weeks of school. Schools will receive an email when Here Comes the Bus is available. Links to access information to distribute at open house is below:

For students who walk home from school - Students MUST have a walker form signed in order to walk home from campus. If you are new to BMS, or if you have not completed a walker form, please send a note with your child for them to walk home on the first day of school.
