It is that time of year when students must decide whether they would like to participate in Band or Chorus for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. If your child has chosen to join either band or chorus, they will also have the opportunity to select additional courses.
For incoming Grade 5 Students there are 2 options available:
1. Full Year of Band and Chorus, Full Year of Art, 1/2 Year of PE, 1/2 STEAM
2. Full Year of Band and Chorus, Full Year of PE, 1/2 Year of Art, 1/2 STEAM
For incoming Grades 6,7& 8 students there are three options available:
1. Full Year of Band or Chorus, Full Year of Art, Full Year of PE
2. Full Year of Band and Chorus, Full Year of Art, 1/2 Year of PE, 1/2 STEAM
3. Full Year of Band and Chorus, Full Year of PE, 1/2 Year of Art, 1/2 STEAM
Students who choose not to take part in Band or Chorus take a 1/2 year of general music, 1/2 year of steam, a full year of PE and a full year of Art
Please be aware that once your child signs up for any of these courses, they are expected to remain enrolled until November 1st. The deadline for completing the form is February 21st.

Over the past month, we have seen an uptick in students using cell phones when they are not permitted. This trend is concerning as it can be disruptive to the learning environment and may hinder students' ability to focus and engage in class. It is important for to address this issue proactively by reinforcing cell phone policies and reminding students of the importance of staying focused during class time and the reinforcement at home is greatly appreciated.
Parents please ensure that your students are charging their Chromebooks on a nightly basis. Along with the day to day activities in class, students will be taking a series of assessments, (state and district) that require them to use their Chromebook. Without a charged device, students may not be able to access the necessary materials or complete the assessments in a timely manner. Additionally, having a fully charged Chromebook ensures that students can participate in any online activities or assignments that may be assigned throughout the day. By reminding students to charge their Chromebooks nightly, we can help them stay prepared and ready for any academic challenges that come their way.
